Yeah as the roster is currently constructed, there definitely is a need for Bronny in the regular season. His defensive upside is a much bigger need for us situationally than Hardy’s scoring.

Absolutely would need to get a real second round pick back for Bronny, at the very least

I actually like Bronny and would love a story where he continues to develop into a rotation player and has some nice moments in a Laker jersey. But if we think Manon can slot in to a similar role, I would love to convert him into an additional second round pick and roster spot. If you do Vando and the pick swap for Kuminga, having 4 second rounders and multiple expiring contracts to trade would be very nice.

Nah man, Kuminga is the Ayton of wings. Talented, athletic but no motor, bball IQ or desire to be a role player.

He is the most important archetype in modern basketball and two teams that really need him, have let him go.

I think it's a world of difference playing with Curry and Luka. Luka always has the ball and you just gotta be good attacking 4 on 3s. Shoot the open shot, cut to the basket or attack the space. Curry plays a lot off ball, there's a million screens going, you're always running, you need to pass and read the game at every position, it's just so different

PJ was Kuminga before arriving to Dallas. He was a pure scorer that didn't do anything else in Charlotte team without any impact on wins.
Luka makes the game really easy for you. Steph is more part of a team game where you need a lot of IQ and to have more versatility and multiple skills

But yeah I don't want to ride or die with Kuminga. He would be a great gamble in our current situation but there's questions about his motor, IQ and consistency. So if we strike out, it's not the end of the world and hopefully we find a starting 4, even if it needs to be during the season

Thats the main thing. We need some draft capital. We need to have something to offer if the trade deadline comes and a veteran becomes available.

Debanysta looks like the real deal!!!! Already 11 points. Athletic. Can shoot it. Washington is going to have a squad.

    Young
    Johnson
    Debanysta
    Davis
    Sarr

Davis gets to play 4 like he wants to. Like he likes to. Still has Keyshawn George. They are deep. They have the depth. I like them better than Boston. They are right there with Philly.

Cleveland ain’t messing with this squad. I don’t care how much you bring LeBron.

Looks like LeBron goes to Golden State. s*** Stephen has been tampering with him all season.

I get your point. I just think Kuminga still thinks of himself as a potential star player. Whereas PJ is happy to just be a good role player.

I’d much rather the latter, otherwise we’ll have a “I ain’t no Herb Jones.” Comment from Kuminga this year for sure hahaha!

It’s crazy to see how much the team has changed this offseason:

    1. Luka - Under Contract
    2. Reaves - Resigned
    3. LeBron - Left
    4. Smart - Let Go
    5. Ayton - Traded
    6. Rui - Let Go
    7. Kennard - Let Go
    8. Hayes - Let Go
    9. Jake - Under Contract
    10. Vando - Under Contract
    11. Bronny - Under Contract
    12. Adou - Under Contract
    13. Knecht - Under Contract
    14. NSJ - Let Go
    15. Kleber - Let Go

We could still see 2-3 more leave out of Vando, Jake, Knecht and Bronny.

Really, we’ve only retained Luka and Reaves out of our top 8.

    1. Luka
    2. Reaves
    3. Kessler
    4. -
    5. -
    6. Grimes
    7. Mamu
    8. Sexton
    9. Carr
    10. Jake

If we can pick up another clear starter in PJ Washington. We could move everyone up one slot and sign a backup wing as the 10th slot. I’d be pretty optimistic about that team.

I don’t see Kuminga as ayton/dlo. I think if Wiggins had been drafted to a win-now team, similar stuff might have played out.

I love Washington, but it may be 50/50 for me just due to untapped potential.

either would make the offseason a major success to me.

Does the Kawhi trade being put on hold effect our Kaminga signing? I’m wondering if we should’ve just signed him instead of nickel and diming. Anything can happen now.

At that price…man, he just hasn’t earned that yet. Would rather have Washington if that’s possible, but probably isn’t
