Cream Abdul-Jabbar (aka Robbie Avila) Will be our 3rd string center by midseason. I think we win 50+ games and fans fall in love with our new style of play. What are your bold predictions for 2026-7 season? Let’s see who was right later
Around 55 wins and 2-nd round exit after a hard fought battle. WCF if Luka and Austin both are healthy and at the peak of their powers.
If we can trade a couple of our scrubs for a decent-sized wing, I think we end up a 3rd seed. With everyone healthy, I think Luka can lead us to a championship. He's got that Brunson clutch gene in spades.
i still don't think we're finished with the offseason. we're pursuing kuminga, and if that fails, probably still looking at moving some of our dead weight for slightly less dead weight. the outcome of that actually figures heavily for me, though. like, if we get kuminga (or similar via trade), i think we could be a 3-seed level team. without addressing playable size and athleticism on the wing, we could be down in the play-in range.
Yours or his? Dude needs to mix in some salads and get serious in the weight room and with conditioning in general. Though hats off to him for coming this far on skills alone without any of that.
IMO we are the class of the league. Players are excited to be free to just play ball and Luka, Austin,Kessler lead us to a championship. Luka MVP, and Kessler most improved moves into all-star country. Austin, always overlooked, is the cog that makes it all go. Kessler might as well win defensive player of the year. This is my realistic look, could go even better.
6th seed if healthy. If not, fight for a play-in. There's always next year though, right? Jokic and Luka are buddies and so on...
I am going to give this team a 47-50 win season this year, right now. I might go higher with a couple more signings. I think they CAN and should be a 6th seed at minimum and avoid the play-in easily, but I will say that if Luka misses 20-ish games or close to it, then yeah....I agree that we will fight for a play-in spot. BUT.....all CAN go well if the Lakers get a Top 4 Pick next year. So, let's hope for some luck if things DON'T go well this year. I have been thinking about this more and more and I really think this team was built for Luka to be the Magic of the team and run the floor with everyone around him. I think everyone can find their spot and match that...but I also hope IF JJ is going to let him do that and be that person, that everyone's stats increase with it. We'll wait and see. We got some hope, but if it's a shot, it's because its a young team that is fun to watch even though it's mostly no names and not constantly doing a lot to warrant attention.
Need to see if we do anything else, but also what some of the other West teams do. Does Denver retain Watson now that all of the money has dried up? What do the Wolves do at the forward spot, they need a starting 4 about as badly as we do. Are the Rockets doing anything notable besides adding Smart? If we can get someone competent to start at the 4, I may just pencil us in as 3rd in the West again. I think Denver's time has come and gone and the Wolves will need a year to re-orient.
As stands I agree this is a 6 seed if we have great health and play in team otherwise. I sure hope we aren’t done yet.
