I dont think they are trading Reaves this season. End of next year is a big possibility since we don't have anything else to trade. And we better pray Reaves flourishes on his new role otherwise it will be hard to move him as well.

We also committed most of the FAs to long contracts. This is my least favourite part. We basically have no flexibility to improve if any of the guys we just signed dont perform.

And we're essentially hoping these guys like Grimes or Mamu who were bench guys for mid level teams to flourish into starting quality.

I mean people like positivity but from a rational stand point, I dont see much to be happy with. There's always people trying to spin it both ways, even with the Westbrick trade people that criticized it got called negative nancies and that set back the franchise for years.

Agreed. We need to somehow, someway flip Vando/DK for a starting caliber wing. This team will get cooked on the perimeter. It amazes me that guys get paid millions of dollars to put together sh***y rosters like this.

I just have no idea what our FO is doing or thinking here. Like not only is this roster mediocre, it has the potential to be BAD, like getting embarrassed by 30-40 points each time we play OKC or the Spurs bad. Also who is the Smart replacement in like that vocal team leader, that legit tough dude who isn’t going to take any s***, I don’t see anyone here really like that, to me this is a soft looking team, with much more potential to fold when things get tough or physical than last years.

also, who is the one to keep the locker room in check like lebron did? they don't have that vet locker room guy like jeff green or kevin love. i think reaves is the oldest guy on the roster

The worst part is not even this. The team may be better than we thought. The part that worries me the most is that due to the long contracts and having no assets, we have no way to fix it if it's not going well.

we have zero first rounders for the next 7 years. It's tough. We can't even get out of Vando's contract right now.

people here are really underestimating how important having some flexibility is, and firing Rob isn't going to fix this either.

Lmao yeah, because THESE are the players that can be had cheap, not bench guards that are a dime a dozen like Sexton. Seriously f*** Rob Pelinka man, I have no idea why I had any hope this time would be different, this is the man that tried to sell Patrick Beverly as our 3&D wing addition

At this point I am like praying for this, and I don’t even like him, we are just that bad and in need of his player type. With what money, I have no idea, Vando waive and stretch maybe

Sounded like Spurs were fixated on not giving more years so they can have money to re-sign Castle.

Tobias Harris the GOAT bagger in the NBA, made over 330 million!

Poor guy became Slovenian for no reason.

Same here lol, I was balking at the idea yesterday, but he would start for this team, and unlike others we signed, is actually still really young and has untapped potential.

can play defense and he's really athletic, if we could improve his shot, he could be a legit starter level player

the downside is that if he has a good year we have no way of retaining him.

If we really wanted him, shouldn't we have saved 10-15m? I think he would've taken a 1 year prove it deal.

Kuminga smells perfect for the Kings, Nets though. Amazing Tank Commander!

More than one route to Kuminga, I think—would take some serious gm-ing…

edit: btw, i'm thinking about the fact that i think if you're under the apron you can take back 7.5m over the outgoing amount. atlanta or a third team would have to agree to take on a little salary, but if they did, we could sign kuminga to that +7.5.

if they take jake, you're near mle territory.
