Probably some undrafted no names, nobody ever heard of. They seem to specialize in that. I'm sure they have a plan...they had been after Giannis since the trade deadline.

Miami can get Deangelo Russell on the cheap. Working the buyout market maybe Demar Derozan.

    Russell Westbrook.

we’ll have some competition for Keon Ellis.

maybe Jrue Holiday finds his way in Miami.

So i take it you dont like Ellis either, right? I'm telling you, other than Reaves a lot of folks on this board really seem to not like scrawny basketball players.

Man Jimmy Haslem is a horrible owner. Trades Myles Garrett and Giannis. I knew Haslem would f*** it up.

if the rumors are true he didn’t want Jaylin Brown cause he didn’t want another star demanding a trade what does that say about his team him.?

Well Tyler gets to go back home. Did anyone think Tyler Herro would be traded after the bubble in 20/20??? He was the hottest player in the bubble. Hottest young player in the league. Calling him Klay he had the wettest jumper.

I thought there was such a premium on shooting. Really can’t believe Miami traded him.

I ain’t no fool. We better get Luka some help. And win with him. Riley might be having his trifling a** trying to pry Luka in a couple of years.

What’s with you? You couldn’t get him traded now all of a sudden he’s skinny and scrawny?? Your eyes need a new prescription. Has always been strong lower body and put on some muscle up top this past summer as evidenced with better absorbing and initiating contact getting to the rim. Just not a shredded body type.

“Austin Reaves' approximate weight is 206 to 209 pounds. He has maintained a heavier, more physical frame to absorb contact since initially putting on off-season muscle. [1, 2]
His listed weight on NBA.com and Basketball Reference remains at his rookie-year baseline of 197 lbs. However, reports from The Athletic and his later listings with USA Basketball indicate he plays around the 206–209 lb mark. This change aligns with his goal to add size and strength to handle the physical demands of an NBA shooting guard.”

I agree, he did put on some muscle. I was just making light of how people get annoyed with skinny players in general, more than anything. I know strength is important, but still people want to stock pile big burley players like they are going out of business, even some of those players don't fit what Luka wants. Last season, 9 of 15 players were either a big or a power forward sized player. That's nearly 2/3 the roster.

Yeah but back to back cracks with skinny , then scrawny like you believed the stereotype, same as he’s not an athlete just because he can’t jump out of the gym and isn’t POA stopper quick enough laterally.

On another note. I don't think Brown's issues with the Boston media, some parts of the fan base, or elements of the FO, are basketball related at all. Rumor has it, that he's a little too " Woke" for some folks in Beantown. And that he's deemed a bit too vocally outspoken, on some sensitive topics.

This goes back to the bubble; however some people thought Bill Russell was "too woke" for Boston back in the day too.

No i didn't even intend for Reaves to catch a stray like that. It was more about some folks not like skinny players, but enamored with the big strong players. My bad, scrawny was maybe improper wording.

Luka and Reaves are the two apex offensive players on the team. That's why it's emparative to surround them with at least a lob threat and shooters around them. If those other 3 starters happen to be defenders, then even better.

OK. But legit concerns about Ellis he’s inch and 3/4 shorter than AR and 34lbs lighter and “seems” to just die on screens.

Ok, that's a good argument. I just tend to lean Ellis more as opposed to a Thybulle or Melton because he's a cleaner shooter. We already have our defensive dynamo in Smart if we could get additional defense from an extra POA defender, then even better. I mean Ellis can't deal with screens like Smart can, but he does create defensive plays, such as steals, deflections, and blocks. Those are important for momentum swings.

Ellis does soo many good things, that the advanced analytics like; but why can't he find his way into regular rotation play, after 4 seasons in the league? Why would it be any different here? The pressure to win NOW here...will be even more intense, than in Sacramento or Cleveland.
