Are they gonna start downtown at City hall and work thier way to midtown to Madison square garden to have the rally. Cause I’m sure people will be on buildings. Parade Friday is going to be insane.

with Jay-Z Fat Joe and Alicia Keys performing.

Growing buzz that bringing LeBron back might be a backup plan rather than a priority. Pincus said it in his mock offseason thing and Zayas was implying yesterday he thought that would be the FO’s approach. Of course take everything with a grain of salt this time of year, but I could definitely see this being true.

If the FO does go that route, there needs to be a big swing that brings in another Top 40ish guy in addition to improvements down the roster. Like that Pelicans trade where we get Murphy and Jones for basically all the picks we can trade. Taking that approach with LeBron wouldn’t be my first choice, but I could get on board with it so long as the FO acknowledges the reality that we’d need another top-end talent to replace him.

Yeah. Wemby takes some ill advised threes, when they really need to score. He seems mediocre at best in getting his own shot off. They don't really seem to have anyone who is really good at getting him the ball. Think if Wemby had Magic as his PG!!! Fox is good but he is not a great PG and those two just are not looking great together. I am kind of shocked that the Knicks have game planned this series so well. Wemby is getting schooled.

Sorry, could NOT do AR for Brown. With our luck, they would go on and win a couple of rings with AR and we would NEVER live that down. That kind of BS destroys fan bases and puts teams in the trash bin for decades. Don't trust it and while I may take that risk with another team, I would never take it with the C Bags.

01 lakers vs this current knicks team

how does that look in a 7 game series? if we're going off 2001 rules, i'd say an easy sweep. but with today's rules maybe the knicks win a couple games. especially with shaq having to play KAT on the perimeter

Id do that trade even though Brown's contract is huge - legit 2 way guy. Shores up the D significantly with Luka

Knicks are kind of designed to take on these type of center teams? KAT pulls them out, Mitchell Robinson for a counter and then a bunhc of really good wing defenders? Feels like what Detroit 2004 could do

    side note.

I would be happy for Mike Brown if he wins a championship as a HC. This guy has been fired multiple times. He's been ridiculed and clowned as a poor head coach. Lebron even turned his back on him not showing any respect toward him. It would be a big FU to all his detractors over the years and to do it as head coach for the knicks that hasn't won a ring in over 50 years.

Yeah, Brown is just another tier of player than Austin. But I don't think Brown would want to come here, the whole reason he might be traded seems to be that he doesn't really want to be the #2 to Tatum anymore.

Kobe would murder this Knicks team. All the energy to try and guard Shaq AND Kobe on the perimeter? The Kings in 2001 are similar to what the teams are today. Spread you out, shooters and athletic bigs who can hit jumpers.

If the Lakers 01 played either one of these teams, the Lakers would be up 2-0 right now with no barrier to a sweep.

Just finished the game. That was one of the best games I’ve watched in years because the refs actually allowed them to play the game how it’s meant to be played. No ticky tack calls, no flopping allowed- just basketball.
I wish every game of the season were handled like this.
Old Skool Basketball. Players like SGA and Harden would just be normal dudes if the game were returned to this style.

He’s going to Miami. Riles is a closer and they have been the front runner the entire time.
I think every one of us who likes AR would trade him for Brown.
I actually like the Sabonis idea. He’s underrated, a great passer and can actually do something in the post. If we added him, I think we still would need to add a better big off the bench who could rim protect and finish lobs. Jax can only do one of those.

If Brown was on any other team, I would probably make this trade, but not sure I could stomach a straight trade with the C Bags. If he left the C Bags and signed independently then I would take him in a heartbeat. Sorry but I have too much of a negative reaction to the C Bags to allow me to attempt to treat it fairly and accurately. They would find a way to burn us.

I think the bubble team would beat this Knicks team fairly easily. The 2001 would sweep them. Not really that impressed with them. It seems to me the Spurs team was built with the single goal of beating OKC in the playoffs, and they did, but didn't plan this series at all.

AD and Howard would murder KAT in the post, and they'd put OG on Lebron, but Lebron at 35 was still the best player in the World. Caruso, Green and KCP were all excellent defenders and would give Brunson a lot of trouble.

The bucks would be getting AR and not Boston. I imagine they’d flip Austin somewhere else after a year for more picks - have him as the first option for a season to build value and see if they can send him to Houston or Detroit etc.

The only issue with going to Miami is they’ll add Giannis but not be able to build a strong supporting cast around him and Bam.

Regarding Sabonis he would work well in a double big scenario. I think he has untapped 3 pt shooting volume that he could add to his game to be able to play with a second big while his passing would really help keep the offense humming. The point center setup really helps teams since someone is playmaking from the middle of the floor.

If you could for example add timelord and Sabonis, you could play them together for good chunks of time just like OKC do with IHart and Chet.

yeah I really like that. As the single rim protector, Sabonis is not it, but paired with another defensive big, then it becomes a very different story.

Apart from his defense, I really like Sabonis, by the way. Pau is actually a good comparison in terms of skills and bball IQ.

Would Sac deal with us? It also seems to the Kings reddit guys think that if they'd get a protected first for him that would be a good deal already, since his trade value has tanked with the injury

I'm not sure how we match salaries, but I'm doing that deal 100%, even if the first is unprotected. This is the kind of "buy low" trade that we have to take a chance on to bridge the gap vs OKC/Spurs
