You gotta dribble what’s he doing? Hold the ball. He throws it away. And then the jumper that should’ve been money. He ain’t ready.

Wemby pulled an Isiah Thomas ouch. This one hurts

Wish Fox would have talen the last shot of I was there coach. Catch and shoot mid range is kind of tough one

The spurs inexperience showed. Lots of turnovers, and questionable plays cost them this game.

why not call immediate timeout once Wemby got that rebound? The Knicks defense was already getting set. I think brown has out coached Johnson so far.

totally agree with you at the end, why is that mid range your final play. Not like Wemby is good at that type of shot at this point in his career. Attack the basket and try to draw a foul.

I am sorry, but this was awful coaching. Wemby spent the whole game playing like he was KD instead of using his length at the post

They traded for Fox, who deferred to Wemby the whole 2nd half.

That’s how he usually plays though, he plays like a guard. He’s only 22 though, I imagine he will develop some post game at some point, and then teams will really be in trouble. Right now he’s still not fully there, he’s great, but he can be disrupted with physicality, Kat and Robinson both really bothered him tonight, hell even Alvarado got to him on that one box out where he tossed him in frustration.

And to be fair to Fox, he hasn’t been right since he hurt his ankle, before that he was having a great season. The Knicks just played a fantastic game thought, swinging the ball around for good looks, all over the place on defense, and withstood not getting a lot of calls down the stretch in a crazy physical game. For real that was one of the most physical, let them play games I have seen in a long time, it was so much more entertaining than a free throw fest.

Fox can’t take that shot!!!!!!! Everybody in America knew that was Wembys shot!!!!!

Wemby had to make that shot.

but yall know why I been talking Luka in that situation Luka takes that shot. You need Luka.

    The Spurs have no closers.

and it shows. They cannot shoot with the Spurs.

    Not the jump shot.

Wemby crushed the Spurs with a turnover that was the bill Buckner that was the play.

That play won the Knicks the championship.

I don’t know what the f*** Wemby was trying to do there. He thinks he’s LeBron James he just needs to be Kareem.

Hold the ball and let your point guards take it. Just disgusting. Boy do I hate basketball ignorance.

Outside of Brunson, the Knicks shot 45% from 3 last night and that's with Josh Hart and Alvarado going 0/4. If you take out those 4 attempts they were 13/26 from the rest of their main rotation guys.

That was the difference. Whenever they swung it with a few seconds to go on the shot clock one of Bridges (4/6), OG (2/5), Landry (3/7) or KAT (3/5) would bury it.

Wemby is still doing a great job at stopping attempts at the rim and forcing tough shots there.

The right pass Wemby needed to make was to Fox who had more room to do something special. His game is speed. That’s his speciality. The play wasn’t to Castle. Why are you passing to him?? All he had was sideline by him. Bad play. Horrible play.

Wemby nobody cares. You have to embrace your Kobe your Shaq. Demand the ball. Go to that place. Bring the Monk outfits back.

the only way you protect your legacy is to win. And nobody can get in the way of that your coach or the Knicks. You have to be angry and take it to them.

The facts are nobody cares about OKC series if you lose to the Knicks. It’s all in front of Wemby. Let’s see how he responds.

So apparently there are three main front runners for Giannis; Miami, Boston and Portland. Hopefully our team is keeping on top of proceedings to see if anyone can fall into our laps.

    Portland

They could return the 2029 Milwaukee first and the '28 and '30 pick swaps. Which would be HUGE for a rebuilding Milwaukee. Salary wise, they can get it done with Jerami Grant and Shaedon Sharpe. But the bucks might push for Shaedon Sharpe, Scoot Henderson & Toumani Camara instead.

As a third team, I'd be interested in Camara if he didn't cost an arm and a leg. I'd stay away from the other guys.

Giannis might put a stop to this because he wants to play on the East Coast, but Portland could be a good situation for him. Dame - Jrue - Avdija - Giannis - Clingan with Scoot, Thybulle, Toumani and Timelord off the bench.

    Miami

The Miami offer could be Herro, Ware & Jovic plus 3 firsts and a swap.

Giannis seems to like Miami, but they wouldn't have much left roster wise unless they resigned Norman Powell & kept Wiggins: Mitchell - Norm - Wiggins - Giannis - Bam. That's probably close to the top of the East and everyone is between 27 and 32.

As a third team, I'd offer alot for Ware. Aside from his motor issues, he is kind of the ideal center next to Luka. Can protect the rim, be a lob threat and hit the 3.

    Boston

Simple Brown for Giannis swap alongside 1-2 firsts from Boston to the Bucks.

This would be the strongest team with Giannis. Pritchard - White - Tatum - Giannis - Queta is a good team and they'll be competitors to win it all.

Apparently the Bucks don't want Brown, I'd S&T Reaves and 3 firsts for Brown without hesitation.

Diabate finished really strong the season. He was part of the winning identity the Hornets found many years after trying. He's definitely on the buy-low category, hence why I wouldn't cough 2 picks for him, but he could be worth 1 for the fact you get him 1 year at 2.7M and bird rights.
He looks like the mold of center it works nowadays and has much room to grow. I'm intrigued by him although I do imagine Hornets will try everything to keep him
The problem with us copying any of those teams is assets. OKC and Spurs built through the draft, have all-stars at rookie deals and have zillions of picks to trade for role players like McCain, Caruso or whatever. Knicks traded like 7 or 8 picks for Mikal and OG.

We can't copy any of them. We have 3 picks now, we will get 2 more on 2028 and another 2 in 2030. That's it. So we need to go a different way.

I think both are correct and the answer is in the middle. We need to take info from these teams build and see what's working and the gaps in our roster. That's wing defense and a anchor big that protects the rim, while having rebounding and some shooting. So we need to find guys like that. As they need to be cheaper than lottery picks (Wallace, Vassell) or don't cost a plethora of picks (Mikal, OG) we gotta find cheaper ones that have some question marks and hope they work out like DJJ or KCP.
Those guys nowadays are Herb, Thybulle, Ellis, Isaac, Grimes, etc. We gotta strike on a couple of them

There’s no way to figure it out.

You know how you win the championship??? Get hot and keep making shots.

get stops. All the other stuff follows.

Key keeping Luka Doncic on the floor.
