I respect your takes and you are one of the most balanced contributors here. I did gloss over the “tank commander” part and I completely agree.
It’s more of a laugh towards so many in the media that have falsely hyped Chet up to something he’s not. For me, he’s overrated in defense, and extremely overrated on offense.

 

I don’t like the Spurs as an organization, but I’m a big Castle fan because he plays with an old skool 90s chip on his shoulders.
It’s hard to hate on Wemby- dude plays with passion and doesn’t act like an entitled jerk.
Harper, as well, is tough and looks to be a future All Star with his all around game.

He's just a Reaves fanboy. I doubt he watched all the games that's he's claiming; even if I give him the benefit of the doubt and say he did, his analysis is elementary and comes across and someone who doesn't know what he's watching half the time. It's cool.

Heck, most here think Reaves is a second option - if that doesn't tell us anything , I don't know what does.

As much as I'm looking forward to these Finals, we really need to get to the end of the month so we can start getting some answers on these offseason move lol. Feels like we've been gaming out this offseason for like a full year apart from the awesome stretch in March.

That's fine, Luka. That stance might change in a season or two; until then, hope the Lakers have an ace up their sleeve.

 

Feel like the last sentence of this hasn't gotten enough attention. It may not (probably won't) be Giannis, but I do think the FO is going to be hunting for another "star" as soon as LeBron is gone, which could be as soon as this offseason.

 

aaron wiggins, too--i could see okc wanting to dump him into space as a cost-cutting move, and he'd be in our top 8-9, i think.

if we end up operating over the cap, i wonder if there might be some possibilities where we do three-cornered deals with chicago and bkn that involve them taking knecht/laravia and a second to create a 10m TE that can be used to absorb some of the players listed here.

we could also just do a straight trade of knecht/laravia for portis after the bucks move giannis that would only minimally impact apron stuff.

feel like we're operating with that first apron as a hard cap with most plans (though i think there might be a way to go past it if we go the cap space route...or at least i convinced myself of this at some point).

totally agree. What’s so funny to me is this team isn’t the Spurs it’s nothing like the Spurs doesn’t look like the Spurs. It would be like if Lamar Jackson was playing Quarterback for the Patriots.

but The Lakers with Mark Walter being led by Mark Walter are going to do what is best for them to win a championship.

they aren’t going to let any player dictate to them how they are going to run their team.

They are going to get players to win a championship.

Luka needs to let his Owners do their job.

Austin is great but if that’s gonna keep us from winning a championship we are going to make the move to win the championship.

Are all better players than Reaves. The Lakers will do what they have to do to win a championship and build a championship roster.

 

But here you are telling them .... rather than waiting and actually seeing what ole Mark actually does .... with his new superstar Luka in house. So if you believe as we all do that Walter is SHARP, if he doesn't figure out a way or even want to for that matter move AR somehow for one of those guys .... is HE suddenly "not all that"?
