Abeer you make sense. But don’t you think the Reason OKC lost was Jalen Williams??? The dude is Shais Scottie Pippen. He covers so much. Defense offense. Guy had 40 points in a game 7. Why would you trade that????

Nahhh here’s the thing about San Antonio. They just beat a generational team. The OKC Thunder were deep. They play defense. They’re coached good. Disciplined. And they beat them. Came back in that series.

there’s no we’ll be back mindset it’s our league you never know. Look how Wembys been with injuries. You think that team is gonna be like well we’re good???

Nah Wemby won’t let them. He’s a Kobe clone jobs not finished. If Kobe had a son he’d be Wemby. Dude cares about winning so much. Did you hear his postgame presser?? Dude said he would give his everything to win. Like said he would give his life to win. Who says that??? He said he would die to win.

He cares about winning. He takes it so seriously. The guy is going to give his all. The guy is a stud.

    He’s just different.

those players are pretty mature. And their coach Mitch Johnson is very good.

When you’re in the finals. You have to win it.

i just think maxes for SGA, williams, AND holmgren will sap their ability to keep a lot of the rest of the roster. like, if ajay mitchell can provide 3/4 of what williams does at 1/2 the price (right now much less), and you can get serious value back for williams, don't you consider it?

anyway, yes, they may win if williams is available, and i'm guessing presti sees it like you do, too.

i'm just nowhere near as sure as most people that they can keep cycling in role players that all fit and work like the duncan spurs did all those years. but maybe they can--and maybe all these guys look good there and would/will be bad elsewhere. i just think they kind of caught lightning in a bottle with a bunch of young guys kind of peaking at similar times and buying into the concept. some of that took years to build, and i don't know if you can just plug and play. though i guess mccain showed up and was part of everything in a week, so who knows?

i guess my feeling is that jaylin williams (not jalen) and dort will probably look like garbage on other teams, but I ALSO think finding the next jaylin williams and dort for their system might not be that easy.

I can’t stand his attitude or how much he illegally carries the ball and isn’t called for it.

    Basketball is matchups.

    Harden got cooked

    Mitchell got cooked.

Theres no Maxey or Edgcomb to cook.
    That opens everything up.

These guards guard even Fox but Harper and Castle do.

and Brunson will get his but it won’t be a cakewalk. Shai is an MVP and he had a rough series.

we saw Murray against Minnesota. When you got guys who can guard it’s tough.

Towns at point forward is an adjustment. But they have Wemby.

this goes 6 like when we played the Pacers in Game 6 and won. But the Spurs give the Knicks a lot of problems.

And they got a guy who said he would die to win. Wemby is a special player. Like a Jordan. They give their all to win. He will do extra things. And the Knicks have players to move him around but he’s going to be able to do what he wants on offense. He’s gonna shoot from any part of the court and score at will at the rim. Having Fox for pick and roll will make this Spurs team different.

And Mitchell Robinson playing with a broken pinkie against Wemby is going to be pretty different for New York.

One thing I noticed against Wemby is that SGA could get his shot off in the mid range. That spells good news for Luka in the future, if he can get into the paint and have a defender on his back, he’ll be able to get his pull up jumper. If Wemby over helps, we need a lob threat because Luka will find them even over/past Wemby.

I think the difficulty will be finishing at the rim but you’ll get mid range and 3’s from the Spurs.

Another thing on the Spurs. We see how many guys get calf injuries and Achilles. Who’s to say Wemby doesn’t get an Achilles or a hamstring?? Look at Wemby. You never know. You gotta win it when you can win it. And more than the Spurs I think Wemby knows that. I just to me it feels like Chicago beat their Detroit.

and I know they’re young. Orlando was young in the finals to against Houston. I get it. But these guys look different. And this kid looks different.

everybody was saying OKC was gonna 3 peat after winning the championship last season. And saying San Antonio is too young. So we’ll see. But you never know. You gotta win it when you can cause you don’t know when you’ll get back. Look at Indiana with Haliburton. Or Boston with Tatum.

And when we won with AD I thought our Window we could at least win one more that following season. AD looked like he was going to go on a run. So you just don’t know when you’ll win that championship. You never know. It is tough to get back. A lot has to go right for you to win the championship.

I don’t think Wemby is that good offensively yet. If he is handling the ball, smaller guys can pick his pocket. If he doesn’t have space, he can’t get his 3 off consistently and he doesn’t have a crazy consistent bag to score in the post consistently. That’s why he had some bad games vs OKC, that side is still a work in progress.

However, defensively he is the 1A in this league. Guy is incredible. I just think he will have issues if he has to guard KAT at the 3 point line constantly.

    This website is funny.

I didn't watch any of those Knicks-Spurs game, nor do I predict many of you did but are acting like experts on what took place in those games.

    Good grief.

We’re on a basketball forum to discuss basketball and give our opinions - what do you expect?

I’ve watched a lot of spurs games the last 2 years because I think Wemby is an all time great in real time. But he isn’t a finished product yet.
