Wemby deserves a suspension in my opinion. And certainly a fine at least. As mentioned by Kobeluka - Artest got 7 games for his elbow. Granted, I know Artest had history. But this one was fully deliberate, he wound up and aimed high. That should be at least a one game suspension. I remember Kobe getting suspended for some incidental contact on a non deliberate swing through play because it was a “non-basketball act,” lol.

have you watched acuff? i'm pretty sure he may not be as tall as his listed height, and his defense was a problem at the college level.

mentioned in another thread that he reminds me of kemba walker.

I'm just glad they're getting the ball rolling now. If they can get this all settled by draft night, that helps in simplifying our summer that has to go nearly perfect. We have no time to wait for a dragged out circus from this clown.

Come on Riley. Let go of the death grip of whatever random 14th man you're obsessed about this trade cycle.

Feel like it's going to be either Miami or Boston. I think the Boston noise with this is real.

Giannis sweepstakes could be wider than any other star player: Knicks, Atlanta, Miami, Wizards, Boston, Pistons, Orlando, Denver, Wolves, OKC, Portland, Golden State, Both LA Teams, Phoenix, Houston and Spurs could all be options.

I hope we're involved in some capacity.

From a team building point of view, I'm leaning towards the following:

    Bench: 38m

Smart - 6.4m (120% raise with a promise of a higher wage the following season)
Kennard - 9m (non bird rights)
    Adou - 2.1m
    Rui - 16 (bird rights)
    Hayes - 4.5 (bird rights)

    Deep Bench: 10m

    Bronny - 2.3m
    Kleber - 2.5m (vet min)
    Vet min x 2

That's locked our 6-14 players in for 48m and leaves us with roughly 161m in space to the first apron. We know Luka is at 49.5m and the MLE is going to be at 15.1m, I'm capping Lebron at 25m so that means we have around 72m left to get two starters.

I'm looking into utilising a combination of Jake (6m), Knecht (4.2m), Vando (12.4), Ayton (8.1) & Reaves (30-40?) plus our 3 firsts across two trades to get those two starters.

    Luka / Smart / Bronny
    x / Kennard
    x / Adou
    Lebron / Rui
    x / Hayes / Kleber

I think that's got the hallmarks of a real team. For example, see if we can pick up Quentin Grimes as our MLE target, then trade a combo of Jake, Knecht, Vando & Ayton for Mitchell Robinson/Claxton/Turner/Stewart/Hart/Bridges/Herb & Missi etc and see if Reaves can bring you back a big fish in a Giannis trade.

The Clippers would be fools to trade for Giannis. You keep all your picks and rebuild with youth. You don’t trade capital again when you get it. Gianiss and Kawhi isn’t a championship to me.

The Lakers should try to trade for Gianiss because his timeline is on par with Luka and that’s the only path I see to Luka winning a championship. Because you need that anchor to play defense next to Luka. And Gianiss can guard the athletic Center like Holmgren.

I’m not trading my whole team for Gianiss though.

The best team for Gianiss is the Wizards. That’s a championship team the East.

Washington already has the two guard Tre Johnson. Keyshawn George will be traded in that trade. Also the number 1 pick should get it done . And another young player Will Riley.

best trade For the Bucks. You draft his potential replacement in Debaynasta.

For the Wizards. You get Gianiss he is paired with Tre Young. You pair Tre Young horrible defense. Now he has protection on the backline. You have two dogs controlling the paint. Alex Sarr and Anthony Davis.

and you still have a young guard in Tre Johnson still have Bub Carrington.

    Young
    Johnson
    Gianiss
    Davis
    Sarr

I don’t see anybody in the East beating that team. And that’s a team that can challenge OKC and San Antonio. Shooting scoring inside scoring. Ability to switch.

second time i've said this, but "guarding holmgren" isn't a problem. he's tall shawn marion. put a bulldog shooting guard on him and he can't hurt you much. he kills you bc his teammates are breaking your defense wide open every trip down, and he knows just how to use his speed and length to capitalize. shut that water off, and you shut holmgren's offense all the way off. giannis can't shut that water off. you need perimeter defenders--more than one--to do that.

Dillon Brooks at the game. Could this be a Metta world piece Kobe Moment?

Give Lebron a 2 year deal. He looks great. You can’t really evaluate this team without Luka. Simply put Luka needs to be out there. If Luka’s playing I truly believe this is a different series. We can’t keep up with their scoring with no Luka.

Lebron Hachimura have to come back.

Reaves needs to come back at a fair rate. He can’t turn the ball over. We gotta stop turning the ball over.

smart, lebron, and reaves all turned the ball over trying to feed bigs in situations where they weren't really open, imo. must have been a point of emphasis to look for those?

i think he's just not a pg. he's a sg who can handle well enough to get the ball up the floor and can make a few plays, but he's never been a pg. which is ok unless that's what you want from him. boston struggled with him there because none of their top players were good passers. it's why holiday changed so much for them, imo.
