    Maybe crazy, but not delusional.

Not only is DEN on the ropes, but MIN, who will probably knock them out, just lost Donte with an achilles and who knows how long Ant will be out. Jit just got really interesting during what will be known as the Dosunmu Game.

Shams backtracked this. I think we don’t know when he will be back officially, it depends how it goes.

Our hopes and dreams lie with that hamstring.

Not that it matters, really. It's still a L. With Luka, we can win some games. Without him, we just don't win any, except if we get lucky. We need at least one key player — either a younger Smart or a starting quality defensive wing — in order to truly contend.

I agree that OKC is the better team, but one small setback, like a minor injury to SGA or Chet, and the pendulum swings our way. As seen in the Nuggest/Wolves series, anything can happen in the playoffs.

I think we can beat them with a healthy Luka because J-Will is out. The problem Luka isn’t healthy and he may not be the rest of the season.

Even when he comes back he will be out of rhythm and for sure less confident on his body, while playing the most important and intense games of the season

I expect nothing and wouldn't push him to return. Whatever comes, comes. No need to take unnecessary risks that can jeopardize next season in any way

    Gotta close this today though

yeah, not interested in letting dort get free reign on further injury attempts to an already weakened leg to win two instead of one game in a playoff series.

Exactly this. If he goes out and does it again, it could start to become a habitual issue. We aren't beating OKC in a seven game series with this team as currently constructed, even with everyone at full strength. Shut him down, let him heal up completely, tinker with the roster in the offseason, and then really go for it.

Agreed, completely. But at that point, you’re basically hoping things break your way. Luka won’t be close to his usual dominant self, so it’s smarter to just monitor how he feels and not risk making things worse. He’ll have the whole summer to recover and get right. Add at least one solid piece in the offseason, and then you’re looking at a team that can genuinely contend in 2027, right? If we actually beat the Rockets 4-1 in the frist round, I'll consider that a success, actually.

I think he's too much of a competitor to sit for longer than absolutely necessary.

Also, the FO does need the measuring stick to see just how far we are from being able to compete with OKC at that level.

Wasn’t it just yesterday Shams was saying Luke is out for the next series against OKC now he’s backtracking and saying it’s just for the start of it?

Dude is a professional NBA reporter and needs to learn how to be more careful with his words. He just mislead an entire fan base. Be better.

Politics works the same way. I noticed all the media manipulation in sports first, and then noticed that the same tactics were used in other areas. It is up to consumers to figure this out and not support the media pundits that are the most manipulative.
