He looks f***ing awful out there. What is this s*** he's doing out there - game 2 almost cost the lakers the game by a weak a** pass that felt more like a handoff to the Rockets on the break. This game, instead of just lackadaisical passing, he was lackadaisical just even trying to hold onto the basketball.

I mean JJ had to play Bronny over him in the 4th it was that bad

Yeah, I don’t agree with the comment here, but just look at this. He’s scared to handle the ball, like he can’t hang onto it, that’s nerves. And the one play where he just kept going in then back out then jumped to pass, like just calm down, slow down man. I guess at least it’s learning experience, he’s still young

Yeah,he's nowhere close to the worst player in the NBA. Up until the trade deadline he wasn't even the worst player in the top 10 on the Lakers. These people are dumb.

The playoffs are a different animal than the regular season. He's trying but it looked ugly for stretches.

He gets a pass from me this season. The effort is there. Gaining some valuable experience that will bode well next year. Keep playing him.

Yeah, maybe I was a bit too harsh last night.
I’ve been defending the kid all year, but last night he looked like he wanted to hide under a shell on offense- legit afraid to mess up.
He can probably overcome this and I really hope it doesn’t turn into a Ben Simmons situation with his mental state.

People are forgetting this is Jake’s first playoffs as well and he is younger than Knecht. These mins will go a long way and he jsut needs to get the monkey off his back.

He has to be able to hold on to the ball. It’s not rocket science.I’m not about to ship him out and he’s still learning but the unforced turnovers are killer.

he's a first-timer who hasn't seen this yet. see: a lot houston's guys (many of whom at least have one series under their belt).

i actually thought his reverse layup was awesome. they called him for a clear out, which was probably technically correct...except sengun does it on basically every shot attempt (and had done it a couple plays earlier and gotten a foul on ayton, iirc).

he's also gotten a couple rook-whistles on defense. but i feel like he's keep ballhandlers in front of him and bigs from just going through him, and those things have value.
