Windhorst saying that other teams are saying that they think Austin will be back at some point during this series. Saying that JJ & Lakers have more reason to play it coy and not give out real info, vs other teams expectations. Also saying that other trainers are saying to be more cautious with a hammy than an oblique.
Couple Austin things in the new Bron piece Perks of your billionaire owner owning both teams, players can use Dodgers facilities until we get our overhaul.
I'd completely written off the chance of him or Luka playing another game this season, but with how the series is going I guess it's time to start seriously talking about this. The ideal situation would be a 4 or 5 game victory over the Rockets that he doesn't come back for, such that Austin has some additional practice time to ramp up and isn't immediately thrown into playoff basketball the second he's ready to play. We'll see if that pans out, I think if we win one of the games in Houston this thing is over in 5. OKC is obviously an extremely difficult opponent in normal circumstances, let alone in a scenario where you're coming back from a multi-week injury, but one thing that could work in our favor is that this could shift playmaking responsibility away from Austin and toward LeBron, which I think is the right approach against OKC specifically. All the stuff we say in the first game with LeBron catching at the elbow rather than initiating with a P&R beyond the arc, I like that against OKC.
wrong thread to discuss, but we fell into this a bit in the second half of game 2, and i think we're better when we don't. i think the two kennard turnovers spooked jj a bit, which i get.
Yeah, there was a stretch where we kept going back to LeBron high P&R where I thought we were going to give up the lead late. Thankfully, the Rockets did not make us pay.
Wow! I was just hoping for Game 5. This upgrade means that even if he doesn't play Game 3, which none of us expected, he should be likely for Game 4, barring a setback.
If he is ok in the shootaround, bring him in in very limited minutes off the bench and let’s see how he responds. Great news!
Reaves would take Bronny and Kennards minutes. Kennard (36) / Reaves (12) Smart (34) / Vando (14) Rui (36) / Jake (12) Lebron (36) / Jake (12) Ayton (24) / Hayes (24) As Reaves ramps up, adjust Jake and Vando. Kennard goes to the bench when Reaves is off mins restriction.
