This is not defense. He literally grabs his arm and pulls him to him to try to steal the ball. At no level of basketball is this clean and not a foul. If OKC is allowed to play like this then no one is going to beat them.

He may have been once Prichard got by him at the end there, but before that, no, he was just playing football on the basketball court because the refs let him. He was absolutely trying to steal the ball and grabbing and pulling Prichard’s arms.

It’s kinda been ridiculous, the 9 game win streak was even more impressive considering

This just f****** sucks, it’s going to be like when we had to play the Spurs in 2013 and got swept playing Darius Morris minutes, only possibly worse

Well. If there ever was still an opportunity for LeBron to add to his resume… this would be it.

And if he did, he’d be forever enshrined…

when the lakers aren't serious contenders, i like to pick a team that i think *could* win it, and i would be happy for them if they did.

this year, that team was detroit.

i just hate that boston gets to cakewalk to the finals most years and await the battered winner of the west's gauntlet.

boston's got the embiid-less sixers in round 1. they'll have the knicks in round 2, whom they own and who might be a 7 seed in the west, lol. the only team they don't have homecourt against just wet the bed against another team that should have been a top eastern conference team but wet the bed for the last two years, lol.

Yeah, I'm pretty scared that Boston might win this year. They're 1-1 vs OKC with a +8 PD, and they won by 10 after Tatum came back. I think Boston would beat OKC in the Finals.

All the more reason to root for San Antonio, if the Lakers go out. San Antonio is 2-0 vs Boston, including after Tatum came back (although Brown got ejected halfway through that game). Boston has no answer for Wemby, and San Antonio should beat them in the Finals.

If Denver makes it through the West, they went 2-0 vs Boston (including a game where Jokic didn't even play), but they haven't faced them since Tatum came back.

i'm still pretty terrified that wemby can't make it through a full playoffs intact, leaving boston to once again play a depleted opponent.

Unfortunately, you were already right. In an unexpected way though, and hopefully it's only that 1 game.

However, Philly is giving us unexpected hope. I did not think they were capable of destroying Boston. Even if they don't upset them for the series, their early win gives me hope that somebody else can. Possibly Cleveland.

yeah, it was a freak play, but...when you're built so strangely, that stuff happens, imo. same with AD always getting hurt. his prime advantage (unusual agility at his size) was his prime disadvantage (led to a litany of strange injuries). wemby has a more extreme version--that's a long way to fall, and it's harder to get those giant arms up to brace yourself.

jaylen brown just came out and said the other day that how boston wins is that they play harder than their opponent every night. i believe him, but the lore of the playoffs is that everyone is now trying hard (look at our team on defense all of a sudden!), so that advantage gets mitigated.

still think boston probably takes philly in 5, but every loss extends the series and leaves you vulnerable to wear and tear/injuries/strategic exposition/etc.

After last night, I think/hope that Philly can take 1 of their home games and make it at least 6.
