Players will almost always want to play, it’s up to the staff to save them from themselves. And no the staff or medical team don’t always know best either, they work for Luka as well and want to fulfill his requests I’m sure, and teams often want players to go out there for ticket sales, tv views, the money. I see no benefit in Luka trying to come back from this, better to come back next season when we will hopefully have a deeper roster.

Couldn’t he have taken AR with him? Selfish!

So what you're saying is... we need more guys like Kawhi :D
Isn't it strange though, when Aspiration "scandal" started, it's like someone lit a fire under his a**, dude got healthy real quick...

my conspiracy theory was that he heard his deal might get voided, and he decided to re-prove himself in case he was in a contract year.

I still doubt anything is going to happen with that, but I suspect that the Clippers told him, that he probably needs to start considering his " other options ", as to where he'll be playing ,after this contract runs out.

Should happen to both the team for a penalty AND to Leonard. I understand where your skepticism comes from after you explained what happened to you a long time ago. Still it colors your perception in this case waay too much IMO. Where there's a whole sky of black fresh smoke there's a fire somewhere. And no I'm not going to debate with you on it. Your thoughts are well documented here.

We'll see ...nothing is too bad, to happen to the Hyena IMO. I have absolutely no problems, being in the wrong on this one

Right?!? Like I said, Luka is a good defender. Yes he gets frustrated sometimes during the season. But, when it's time to play he locks in. They were the third seed after spending the year trying to get everyone playing together. The media blows this stuff up to something it's not. Usually so they can prop up other players they like.

Not even MJ gave playoff effort every 82 games.

I had no idea. I always thought the Lakers had everything given to them. I'm seeing that's not the case now. That's a total made up narrative. Some of the calls I've seen go against us (or not called) is ridiculous.

Ehhh, seeing Luka and then AR getting injured pretty much ruined the season for me.

I'm already tuning out this season. I'm going to be supporting the Knicks to win it all but I'm pretty sure OKC has got this in the bag this season.

Yeah I was locked in and excited to see each game and prepare for the playoffs.
I definitely took the hit and tuned out too. It's a shame, was really excited for all the playoff games in the West. Will still follow but way less invested

    not optimistic
    :Jeanie Srsly:

According to our unofficial but reliable information, Dončić has already done the first series of therapies. And he immediately went to Ljubljana for them. Why, there is probably no need to explain. We all know what personal matters he has here, he came to Slovenia to visit his two daughters, who had not seen them for months. Clearly, Dončić also got the blessing of Los Angeles Lakers, who of course support Luke in every decision of his. From the fact that it is treated in Madrid to travel to Slovenia for a short time between two batches of therapies.

In the Lakers, they are aware that the mental well-being of their first star is as important as physical. And it is clear that Dončić's socializing with children will fill his soul and heart and have a beneficial effect on his mental state. After a short break in Slovenia, Luka will soon return to Madrid for a new series of therapies. From the Spanish capital, however, he will then fly to Los Angeles, where he is expected to return for second round of playoffs

yeah, i kinda figured he was going to go home during this time, and i just hope there isn't some extra drama with the family on top of the injury. that situation seems pretty bad right now.

There’s no good time to have to go through this, but with his and AR’s injuries, at least it didn’t blow up when we actually had a chance to compete for a Chip.
