@LTLakerFan has been consistent, and I'd be okay with that number after the durability issues with the increased usage this season. I think that's fair.
Damn .... JJ is saying Dallas facility scanned the wrong area on AR and a 2nd one happened yesterday? But they still saw the damage being claimed??
I don’t understand? Was the first imaging false? Or did they find additional damage on top of the area the second MRI looked at? Is this good or bad news?
First imaging was in the wrong place. JJ said they sent the specifications correctly. 2nd imaging was the right one and the one used for the diagnosis. It's no news basically
Word is that Reaves has gone to Spain with Luka for treatment? Both guys trying to get back in 3 weeks?
The only guy I've seen say that Austin is also in Germany is Jesse Morse, who's one of the Twitter doctor guys that weighs in on sports injuries. So no idea if that's actually true.
I've been one of the biggest AR supporters on here, but his durability needs to be addressed. He was injured for the playoffs last year and again this year. We never seemed to have caught a break with Lebron/AD with their plethora of injuries, and I sure hope we aren't going down the same rabbit hole with Luka/AR. Maybe there's a better training regime they could pursue, I'm not sure, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't concerned.
it's definitely a concern. this is year three of luka being hobbled for the playoffs (though it wasn't until the finals in 24 that he got limited), too. not sure there's much of a choice, though. chicago will gladly pay reaves the max if we don't, imo. so we just have to hope he and luka get their physical situations ironed out. the answer for austin may be to get those minutes down to 30 like prime ginobili, who also got dinged up alot for similar reasons.
According to ClutchPoints’ NBA insider Brett Siegel, he would say that he gives a 95 percent chance of Reaves returning to Los Angeles, and the other five percent would be the guard being a focal point of a potential trade for Antetokounmpo.
It’s more like a 99% chance he’s returning. I’m hoping this new leadership group is not so brain dead to try and fit Luka and Giannis together.
If I am Reaves, I am sitting out the rest of the season. He's going to cost himself possibly hundreds of millions of $ if he suffers a severe injury rushing anything. It doesn't make sense for him to play right now. I am not worried about Reaves durability. Lakers put themselves in this position having that beyond horrible December that put them in a hole. It's not a coincidence Luka+Reaves both go down this late into the season... too many close games, too many herculean efforts to win these close games, and big time minutes. If the Lakers had won 3-5 more games earlier in the season instead of chucking it away, they could have been more strategic in how they played the rest of the season... Can't believe BOTH of them went down... against OKC.... in the same game!!! Like, why couldn't it happen 3 weeks ago and the Lakers just take their chances at whatever seeding as long as they are healthy? It happens to be both of them right when the 1st round of the playoffs is coming.. Poor LeBron. Sacrificed for Reaves/Luka and now he's got to shoulder the load with them both being gone.
eh, had he played better earlier, we wouldn't have been in the situation you describe, imo. but yeah, i don't reaves nor luka should see the floor again this year. we have the next three years to think about. let's not grant hill this.
