One game popped the balloon, eff me. I wanted to check the score, couldn't sleep all night, didn't want to get pissed before the weekend though. When my girl and cousin blew up my phone... i knew it :(

    This season just went

sorry, this is a garbage take.

switch the rosters around the two players, and which team is scarier?

cason wallace, ajay mitchell, alex caruso, and jared mccain are okc's BACKUP GUARDS!! SGA has an all-nba backcourt mate and two 30+million dollar (one max) frontcourt players on his team.

yeah, luka and the lakers had terrible games, but luka's spanked SGA's team in the playoffs before. player evaluations aren't made based on one game.

OKC proved that there are levels that we can’t quite reach right now. And thanks to the Clippers they’re gonna stockpile even more young talent. JJ needs a deep soul search on his 9 man rotation in the offseason. Today’s NBA is too injury prone and you need to play at least 10 men every night. OKC rolls 10-11 and overwhelm you.

Thats my point. He’s the same caliber of Luka, so all this outrage at Luka being 3rd in MVP is a bit ridiculous. He’s as good as Luka and his team has won a bunch more games.

my point is that luka's better, and if you put luka on okc, they're better and if you put SGA on the lakers, we're worse.

and tbh, i wasn't one of those clamoring for luka to be mvp. mvp is a media-voted award based on loose and shifting parameters, so it's whatever. luka's a more valuable player than SGA.

If Luka was treated by the refs how Foul Baiter is, he would average 40.
    He’s just better.

I’m trying to find a silver lining from last nights game. Like OKC shot lights out, we turned the ball over nonstop, it’s only one game kind of thing but I’m finding it very hard. Luka going down was the final straw. We are in trouble.

The Luka MVP is more about him not even being considered (at least it is for me). That’s just insane and everyone knows it.

i don't think there's much to say about last night, but generally speaking, i feel like we had two 15+ game samples of proof of concept stuff for next year--we have a blueprint on how to be top-level team with or without lebron. and those were two of the most enjoyable stretches of the last decade of laker fandom. the second one came to a crashing halt last night, so hopefully everyone enjoyed it while it was ongoing. i think we'll have more of those in the near future, and i don't think okc can keep their team together at the level they're at right now.
