Phils' top pitching prospect Andrew Painter made his spring debut today. Threw 20 pitches, got six outs, no hits, no walks. He was facing at least four MLB players this season in the Yankees' lineup.

    2026 stat projections

    Nola 162.2 IP, 10-10, 171 Ks, 4.59 ERA, 27 starts, 0 SHO
    Luzardo 147.2 IP, 10-8, 166 Ks, 4.23 ERA, 26 starts, 0 SHO

    Painter 81.2 IP, 4-4, 93 Ks, 3.66 ERA, 17 starts, 0 SHO
Wheeler will be back sooner than I'd imagined, it seems. I'll get him projected soon.
    43-35 (that's an 89-win season)

    Hitters
Harper: another solid but not remarkable season
Stott: ready for a breakout season
    Turner: All-Star
    Bohm: outside shot at All-Star
Realmuto: Below-average hitting, decline is evident
Garcia: primed for a disappointing ~90 OPS+ season
Crawford: strong candidate for NL ROY
Schwarber: the falloff begins, but he'll still swing an above average bat
Marsh: should show himself the most consistent OF on the roster

    Hitters - Numbers
    2. Realmuto 390 at bats, 100 hits, 20 doubles, 1 triple, 13 home runs, 7 stolen bases, 27 walks
-From 1937-2007, only 19 catchers in their age 35 season posted an OPS+ of 100 or greater. Salvador Perez did it last season, but he hit 30 homers and drove in 100 runs.

    3. Harper 487 at bats, 137 hits, 34 doubles, 0 triples, 26 home runs, 10 stolen bases, 72 walks

    5. Bohm 562 at bats, 163 hits, 31 doubles, 3 triples, 15 home runs, 2 stolen bases, 36 walks

    4. Stott 494 at bats, 132 hits, 26 doubles, 2 triples, 14 home runs, 26 stolen bases, 51 walks
-two of the three players most similar to Stott had breakout seasons at age 28.

DH. Schwarber 575 at bats, 133 hits, 21 doubles, 1 triple, 46 home runs, 6 stolen bases, 105 walks
-all hitters most similar to Schwarber (BREF) fell off noticeably in their age 33 season, but some of them were so elite at 32 that they still had very good seasons.

    8. Crawford 348 at bats, 104 hits, 17 doubles, 2 triples, 6 home runs, 32 stolen bases, 39 walks

    6. Turner 585 at bats, 172 hits, 31 doubles, 4 triples, 20 home runs, 29 stolen bases, 39 walks
-should be primed for another all-star season

    9. Garcia 539 at bats, 124 hits, 30 doubles, 0 triples, 24 home runs, 4 stolen bases, 40 walks
-There's reason or concern here, as four of the five most similar through age 32 were either finished with baseball or posted an OPS+ of <90. One (Ryan Ludwig) had a near career best season.

    7. Marsh 400 at bats, 106 hits, 22 doubles, 3 triples, 13 home runs, 12 stolen bases, 39 walks
-in left field and with consistent at bats, Marsh has a shot at a comeback season and could be the best outfielder on the roster

    Bench
Marchan 93 at bats, 23 hits, 4 doubles, 0 triples, 2 home runs, 7 walks
-Went 10-60 before the ASB and 12-45 after the break. Didn't make the most of his chances.

    Kemp
    Sosa
