The Warriors not getting Giannis is a failure. Now it comes down to us and the Clippers in the off season. If you’re the Clippers why do you want him after all the Kawhi stuff. Just rebuild through your young players. You have another opportunity to do what you were supposed to do with Shai. You have an opportunity to do what could have done with Shai. Shais 26 Garland is 26. I would just rebuild through youth. Do it like the warriors and OKC. We’re the Lakers we have to build through superstars. I wouldn’t trade assets. You’re the Clippers nobody’s caring if you’re winning games. Play games and have your concerts.

I was waiting for someone else to type this because I couldn’t bring myself to.
Zubac is legit, but they needed to rebuild like two seasons ago.
At least now they pulled the trigger and we can enjoy many very poor seasons from them to come!

Mark will show up go to New York sign off on the board of governors meeting. Approve sales. Sign contracts. Approve scouts all that.

Jeanie is there to show up at draft lottery. Yeah Hand us the trophy when we win the championship. Welcome players to the Lakers. Press conference.

Now after we get Gianiss she’ll be here.

Mark had Friedman and Zaihid there to watch everything on his end. Now that baseball season is starting I’m sure Zahid will be there. And it happens a lot Paul Depodesta who Zaihid worked with went to the Browns in Football and now he’s back in Baseball. I think Zaihid is there to make sure the money is managed right. But just like when the Dodgers got Ohtani they had to clear s*** out. I’m pretty sure the Lakers will be getting Gianiss.

yeah, they won this deadline in my opinion

garland's overrated and his toe injury could linger for a while, but mathurin is a legit young talent. recouping some of those 1st round picks they traded away is their biggest win though. and that indy pick could very well turn into a top 10 pick this year. not sure garland/mathurin is a core to build around, but now they aren't looking at their next FRP coming in 2030

Actually, it would be better to just renounce Rui. Rui's 14-17 million or 27 mill cap hold would tie up space and require the Lakers to send out more players for Giannis. This increases the chances of a trade falling apart because of issues like too many roster spots on Milwaukee's end, and/or unfavorable players, like Vanderbilt going to Milwaukee. If Ayton/Smart opt in, it would leave 48.8 million in cap room. Would have to send out 10 million or so in salaries to be able to get Giannis, using cap room. Something like Ayton + Thiero + 26 drafted player + 31 1st + 33 1st + 28 swap + 30 swap + 32 swap. Lakers might want to consider trading 31 1st to Brooklyn for worst of 27 and 29 1st-round picks. Gives the Lakers ability to trade 26, 27, 29, 33 on July 1st, so Bucks get one more pick out of it that way. If Ayton happens to opt out, then Lakers would only have to send out Thiero.

Not convinced that Giannis wants to come here. He's listed Minnesota, New York and Miami as preferred destinations. He said he wouldn't rule the Lakers out, not exactly a ringing endorsement.

I hope Giannis doesn’t want to come here, this is Luka’s team. We don’t need multiple captains trying to steer the ship.

I like the Kennard trade, especially for a team that needs shooting. I hope he just lets it fly a good 5-6 times a game with us. In an ideal world it would be good to get one more buyout candidate.

Giannis can go f*** himself. I remember (at least i think i do) Melo and KD doing the same s***, holding the league hostage.
Im not trading AR for this wuss.

very good assessment. I thought Mathurian came of age in those finals against OKC and legit looked like the best player at times on the court against OKC in the finals. I actually coveted Garland for us in trades. I just like point guards who can play off the bounce.

Coopers LeBron. He doesn’t have Lebrons handle. But if he was black we would be saying Lebron. He plays like a Brotha. Last white boy who was playing like a Brotha was Bird.

    excluding Europeans.

Abeer was all over Flagg. What I’m seeing out of Cooper is LeBron. He can handle shoot and score. I said Lamar Odom. But he’s Lebron. I can’t believe the nba gifted Dallas gifted them a f***ing superstar.

after his first summer league game I said he’s a superstar. He missed all his shots. But you could see it. The athleticism.

    I will say two observations.

Austin Reaves is a superstar. His ability to score when he’s the guy is incredible Donovan Mitchell stuff.

I’m going to say some controversial stuff. I want the ball in his hands as a first option. He knows what to do with it. Hes a better decision maker than Luka. This is while Luka is out.

    Lebron can compliment him.

what the f*** is it when Luka plays and Austin plays like he’s a regular player.

JJ Reddick has to unlock it. Reaves needs to come off the bench. Reaves with the ball in his hands is a top 10 player. I dont have a problem saying that. Everything that Tyrese Maxey does he does.

The bucks are f***ing idiots if they didn’t take Austin for Gianiss. Cause Austin on Milwaukee is what you would get what you saw tonight.

on Record Abeer get it. After tonight. I would not trade Austin for Gianiss.

    Milwaukee picks or nothing.

The Lakers need to develop a playing plan with LeBron Austin Reaves and Luka.

They gotta regularly sit games.why was Luka playing against Washington and Brooklyn. Those are games they don’t need to play,

you don’t see it. But they get taxed. The step back all those games. They don’t need to play so much. Reddick the way he runs these guys into the ground is criminal. Austin doesn’t need to play the next game. Austin had a calf and missed 6 weeks.

just sit these guys. All I care about is the playoffs.

    Hammys are tricky.

I would be cautious and give him a week off.

Giddey missed 2 weeks with a bad hammy.
