That's not a bad trade IMO. Derozan is only garunteed 10M on his contract next season. He is still a high level bucket getter, a consistent scorer is of high value in the playoffs.

I'm just hoping this Giannis s*** finally comes to a resolution. Whether it's NY, Miami or GS, let's get it over with. Ready for this holding pattern to end and for us to stop holding out for a star with a questionable fit.

Guess we know where mom wants him to go.

Yeah, Minny ain't helping us. Dallas ain't dealing with us.

I like Hunter but he can't stay healthy that's a red flag. He's having a bad year, how much of a discount does that put him on? Lack of aggregation makes trade balance, like you mentioned. I'm not giving up a pick or Rui for him.

I wonder if Luka encourages our Naji's pursuit.

I've been thinking he'd be a good 16 game player to pry when they blow it up. He and Smart would be our

Team needs to expend a lot of energy to play D and when they don't have their legs - things go wrong quickly.

Come on Austin need you back

You gotta ask yourself who has the better trade package out of us. For Gianiss.

    1. Lakers Reaves picks

    2. Warriors Kaminga Pudznick Butler picks

    3. Heat Wiggins Jacquez Herro picks. Ware
Not sure Miami would include Ware and probably either Herro or Wiggins.

but the team would be centered around Gianiss Powell and Bam.

we're definitely third because reaves is UFA. if he was already under contract, we'd potentially be first, though our lack of picks hurts a bit.

Losing by 30 stings. I was unable to watch that unfortunately. This team acts like it's on mood meds. They are like a box of chocolates. But with a decent winning record. But 30 points???? Ouch.

Can't decide whether the GS or MIA trade packages are more appealing. GS has the big Butler contract that would be an expiring contract next year, meh young players in Kuminga/Podz/Moody, but a greater volume of picks that may be more attractive given how old a Steph/Giannis/Draymond team will be. Miami has the Wiggins contract that would be an expiring next year and the big Terry Rozier expiring (if they can even trade him, idk how the league is going to treat him given the gambling scandal thing). Herro/Jaquez/Ware are better young players than what GS can offer, but Miami has less attractive picks in terms of volume and quality.

The Wolves apparently also being in on this is interesting. I don't see any way they get Giannis without giving up McDaniels, whom the Bucks could keep or immediately sell for multiple firsts. Gobert/Randle/McDaniels for Giannis/Turner works salary wise, I don't think that you can play Giannis and Gobert together. If Gobert is part of this trade, any chance we could get it on this and have him re-rerouted here? He's 33 and makes $35 million, but is still pretty damn good and a way better fit than Ayton.

I just hope Giannis stays out East. I'd like it to be Miami so there's another interesting team in the East, but NY would be fun too I guess.

Leglar on the BS podcast had a long conversation about how parity has resulted in good teams can be blown out on any given night by a bad team and you aren't seeing these long win streaks since OKC's early season run crash and burnt. They mentioned the coaching is better, 3 point variance, but also just talent is just better around the league.

You just can't lay low anymore as it feels every team has some random guy who can put 20 on you in a quarter.

fwiw, herro was born in milwaukee. even without rozier, i think there's a clear path with herro/wiggins, though i'm sure miami would try to hold onto herro in the deal simply because they'd have no real reliable shot creator on the perimeter if he left.

huge trade that works for minny:

    upload_2026-1-29_12-30-51.png

bucks could offload gobert for expirings and maybe a 1st (i think we'd consider being buyers here, as sk indicated).

ddv's a former beloved buck. mcdaniels and beringer are the real meat in the deal for me. randle could stay or go if someone wanted to peel him off.

a simpler deal with just mcdaniels/gobert/beringer for the greek brothers also works financially.

real issue for minny is they've got basically nothing in terms of picks. that might make it an incredibly tough sell.

Bucks would be stupid to not take the GS offer IMO - Bucks should take those 4 picks and all those pick swaps and run for it.
No point to trade to teams like SAS, Houston, and OKC -those teams are all going to be playoff or better for the next 5 years Twolves will still have a ANT in his early prime.
With GS - Giannis is old, Curry is ancient, Green looks like he's almost toast. This is the chokehold move that Danny Ainge would go for - poison pill where they are good for 1-2 years but then afterwards they're going to be stuck with a huge Giannis contracts and no draft picks. One giannis injury and he gets hurt all the time and GS is exactly where the Bucks are right now - stuck with no place to go with the Bucks eating their carcass

    no Way it's media hype
    Golden State is mentioned because:
    Big market,Big fanbase
Easy headlines ..Not because Milwaukee looks at 37 years old 60 millions injured Butler + Kuminga and thinks yeah, that’s our Giannis exit.
