Game Debrief: What Went Right And What Went Wrong?

i'd be surprised if they could get a first for him, but he's definitely a bad hombre. he has some limitations, but he's skilled, competitive, and extremely physical. as a bench forward, you can do way worse. he's definitely worth the three seconds that DFS fetched last year, for example.

 

Wasn't he the one they had mic'd up and he thanks his teammates for scoring? Yea, that is pretty weird and interesting.

I’m so glad they’re on this east coast road trip. I get to watch our boys without falling asleep. Nice team win.

 

Lakers go into CHI, who had just beaten the Bags. With 1:27 left in the 2nd Q, Lebron hits Rui for a dunk: Lakers up 20, 69-49.

Another bad 3rd Q: with 6:42 left in the 3rd, Vucevic hits a FT to cut the Lakers lead to 1, 81-80.

I guess our guys decided at that point into 3rd, then 4th, then 5th gear. 3 mins later we were back up 11.

Luka: 46/7/12 in 36 mins. 8 for 14 from deep. Humongous game.

With 2:57 left in the game - already in the fridge for Lakers - Jaxson is guarding Giddy at the top of the arc, steals the ball, races on a break, and does the ball-between-the-legs thing before a thunderous slam. This is something Ayton will never do. No knock on Deandre; it's just not his style.

I was totally shocked to look at our box score and see that we actually won the 3rd quarter by 2 points, 35-33. We were getting destroyed as we gave up that lead but then we reinserted our dominance.

 

Nice to get another win

Sweated it out a bit in the third but got back right and pulled out a good win. Rui was great off the bench and I really like that he is embracing that role. Luka was Luka. The old man was solid and we got another needed victory.

4 more games on the trip:

at cleveland (they're playing better, probably a loss)
at washington (really need to get this one)
at ny (probably a loss)
at bkn (again, need to get this one)

and that would take us to the trade deadline, where i think regardless of what happens, we should be in a better head space as a team. even if we do nothing at the deadline, it would be nice to finally see the team we hoped to see from the start this year (all three stars playing, smart starting) and a team playing without the trade distractions.

So, I was wondering about League Pass. Does it show you all the Lakers games from the Spectrum Channel? So, the local feed? And is that what you get for all the other teams games??

We are eventually moving and I love the Spectrum feed, will really hate losing it. Also, if you get the Spectrum channel, do you get all the post game discussions as well? Love listening to Worthy and the cast talking about the team.

Do tell please, with PM if not comfortable in the open here. I love the quality from my DirecTV dish but would drop the outrageous price in a heartbeat they charge for the lowest package just so I can have SSN for Lakers and Dodgers. And can get everything else I want through streaming.

 

You won't get the local Lakers channel on Spectrum if you live on the east coast, do you????

 

The ONLY way I have been able to get the Lakers games in San Diego is either have Spectrum as my TV cable provider, or Direct TV, who pays for the feed. Nobody else does.

 

I know. I do this dance every 14 months or more and threaten to go to Spectrum cable on a new customer deal and they knock off like $30-40 for 12 months and then I pay full pop up to $235 now a month for a couple months.
