Not that the Clippers have been much better than us, but again, it’s the stuff on the margins, it’s poor drafting and development.
i mentioned this in another thread but for a different reason: the clippers actually haven't done better. they've just been willing to try to develop guys in-game, whereas jj has been too scared to do it. this is a man who played 5 guys for an entire half of a playoff game. as i mentioned in the other thread, jordan miller and kobe sanders, on paper and to the eye, look about as good nick smith and kobe bufkin (bufkin, in limited sample, actually looks better than them all, tbh). but we play gabe. btw, knecht hasn't really been as bad as we all complain. he's gotten better defensively. his shot left him probably due to a confidence issue. not sure i blame him. our pattern of young players flailing here and then going elsewhere and looking better is pretty established at this point, right? i think it's less about acquisition and more about internal development and patience.
