AR says NO to re-signing to play in frigid winter hell Milwaukee on a rebuilding team. He’ll have offers more attractive than that.

He’s definitely holding some veto power there, but it’s also a small market where he gets to be the man and can demand the max to resign. I can see it.

The max is still going to be around the 40M per give or take, not a super max and AR is not like a Trae Young embracing going to the Wizzards or Jordan Poole to be happy gunning with no chance at a title. He would choose a contender, and if he was the Bucks’ featured player replacing Giannis they wouldn’t be.

Regardless Lakers sit in a pretty spot.

get your popcorn ready. Rams Super Bowl. Then trading deadline to see what Rob’s gonna do.

Yeah, that begging for the spot is fake. If it's US against the World, it wouldn't even work. But lol what people are putting together today. Saw some hilarious AI videos today. Very creative people. It's going to get harder and harder to determine what is true.

...can we just get some more guys who can consistently do two things on an nba level? Not even all stars, just solid pros who can score and rebound or rebound and defend or something and do it pretty much every game absent some kind of injury.

Our role players always seem to be filled with guys with glaring flaws but can kind of do one thing every other game giving us false hope.

What I wouldn't give for a player like Rick Fox on this team.

i think laravia can do lots of things at an nba level, just nothing spectacularly well. i would take a few more of those types, tbh.

i really am coming to believe that this team's problem is largely mental. with jj coming out and talking about guys being worried about their future...that is what happens when you have a lot of expiring contracts. may just have to ride this season out.

Exactly the type of player I'm thinking of.

Jake is fine IMO. Liked the signing and still do.

And yeah, you can tell by the body language that some guys are off right now. I go back and forth on whether we will (or even should) make a move this year. Can't just be moves to make a move though or based on a guy being available. We really need to lock in on guys who can play with Luka and fit the long term vision for the team. If that means waiting then fine, but we gotta follow through over the summer.

I see it differently - they have 3 really really good players, a good center rotation, 2 solid role players in Laravai and Smart. After that it get so dicey - Vando deserves props for his game against the Clippers but he's neutralzied by good playoff defenses, Rui is hot and cold. then massive drop off. I've been trying to search for an analogy but it sort of reminds me of the Chiefs vs Tampa Bay superbowl - you have this generational GOAT level QB, A HOF TE, HOF WR possibly but the chiefs couldn't do anything as their offensive line was so banged up.

I mean you watch that second half and the Lakers were busting the Clippers up w/o AR. Luke/Lebron look really good - no reason the team can't win. Kawhii wanted no part of Vando or Lebron. It's a Ferrari with cheap tires and brakes

Yes, that is basically it. Not a complicated analysis, but it's spot on.

the problem is after our monthly payment, we can't afford the nice tires.

we'll find out in two weeks whether there's a tire sale, but it sure doesn't seem like it right now. too many teams still trying to compete, and the ones that aren't don't really have what we need, imo.
