the chip team struggled with the elite guys that everyone struggles with--i feel like i remember lillard killing us, for example.

we're letting jaden ivey and ron holland just waltz to the basket and finish layups. that was the story in the second half. the first half our lazy a**** just didn't get back on defense. had we done that, maybe we're not playing from behind in the first place, but detroit wasn't doing anything clever at all. they were just saying we're slow and they're fast and pressing that advantage.

That's exactly how we will look against at least 7-8 NBA teams = we stand no chance. Next season (when there's no Bron), we better do some trades and play harder. If it wasn't for Luka (my fav player) and AR, i wouldn't be watching a minute of this s***show.

Biggest Fool’s Gold start to a season in a long time.
You take our only other All Star of the team, having a monumental season, and replace him with the ill fitting old man, and this is what you get.
Even with Austin in there, this team was deeply flawed, having to rely upon outscoring others, with not enough two-way players.
Maybe Rob can pull a rabbit, or two, out of his hat at the deadline and get Luka and AR some real help.

If it keeps up like this, I really wouldn't be surprised to see a LeBron trade if we can figure one out that makes financial sense.

The only one that would make sense for him to accept is one sending him to the Dubbs. Even still, with how poorly he’s playing, why would they want to trade for him? He won’t put them over the top. It would merely be a publicity stunt to garner more interest for the NBA: “Two All Time Greats, LeBron and Steph, who just happen to be career long rivals team up to take on the rest of the League!”

He's an expiring while Butler has another year left, so that could be a reason for them to make that swap. But I don't want Butler for that reason. Plus a Butler for LeBron straight up doesn't work anyway.

Bron is holding us back, but Butler f***ing sucks. I rather "waste" this season and start fresh next year, than watch Butler run his mouth for another season.

Lakers need to find almost 8 millions more to trade under this new CBA

Lebron aint going nowhere. He's still the one in control with his no trade clause.

Now IF AD somehow lands in Atlanta, without Young being part of the trade. A Lebron for Young deal is a possibility. Unlikely but I wouldn't be totally shocked by it.

we didn't lose because of officiating, but it definitely was pretty obvious that detroit was employing the jerry sloan foul fatigue. i agree with jj on that. and it would have been fine if they didn't foul marcus smart out of the first half for ticky tack stuff in a 30-second span, which was nothing compared to what det was doing on basically every trip down. then luka gets a T for an arm flail. game turned right after that, btw. just weak sauce from the refs, imo.

if we're going to have a wrestling match, both teams should get to wrestle equally.

Boo. Crying about refs. Do better, JJ. For example, play your damn rookie (latest injury notwithstanding)
