I’m a little worried that this current roster has tuned him out.

If he doesn't get his s*** together, he'll get the boot sooner than we (and he) think.

I’m just not really interested in another coaching search unless we’ve got a clear upgrade ready to go. Also, if we move from JJ then it should be part of overall cleaning house IMHO.

Bumps in the road should be expected annd anticipated when bring in a guy with no experience.

Overall, JJ has been much better than I feared. He needs to work on his soft skills IMO which often sounds like BS but makes a big difference when you’re in a leadership position.

Also needs to hold his stars accountable.

this is where he could lose his job, imo. he got the contract extension, and he needs to use that power to positive effect. if he can't handle lebron or luka getting pissy with him for being called out in film session, we need to find someone who can.

He needs to do a podcast with Bron on this game that’s only available for the locker room. Let Bron actually try to defend his play while watching the film.

Let JJ defend his game strategy on film as well, this s*** goes both ways. Redick has been rather mediocre scheme wise IMO. I expected some innovative concepts and approaches. All I've seen mostly is...Luka, Austin and Lebron taking turns going 1on1, while the rest of the guys, getting in where they can from game to game.

i'd argue that he's shown it, but too often just resorts to allowing freelance my-turn your-turn junk. the question is who's driving that? the answer should be him, and if it's not, it should still be him...

but you're right, he needs to answer for why we don't run organized offense. if the answer is that luka or lebron or reaves doesn't want to, then he needs to answer why they're making that choice. again, it would be different if he hadn't just signed an extension. he's got a ton of money coming his way even if he's fired. might as well go out your way. if your way is an unimaginative offense, then...ok. but i don't think it is.

i also agree with the criticism that his ideal defense may be the best one, but our personnel can't execute that, so you have to run a different defense.

but our personnel most certainly CAN execute better offense. i've seen it.

Professor... Rui and Ayton excel in the mid range game. We never run action for these guys tho, even when we need a scoring punch. Perhaps if you run some sets for these guys in their wheelhouse, they can get a groove going that uplifts their all around game. Too many time we are just jacking up more 3pt shots, than the midrange looks these two are getting.

I'm really not sure, what JJ's offensive philosophy is, but look around the West, teams are taking more mid-range shots, these days. Ayton and Rui are pretty good at those, coach to your talent man!!!

the data have been out there for years--we look better both pre and post-luka trade--when we run offense. why we don't mystifies me and is definitely on the coach. the fact that this spans regimes says there's something about our roster that makes different coaches make the same decision (to allow freelance high pick and roll most of the time). i wish someone would ask jj about this, confronting him with the numbers.

I’m constantly screaming in the game chat to stop jacking up iso 3’s from our main 3 guys. That doesn’t have anything to do with not boxing out or leaking out for the pass that never comes because your man you left got the offensive rebound.

I have no argument with that take Cookie. Lol and I agree, that you are consistently equal opportunity, with the a** chewing.

JJ is a hot head and expresses what's on his mind to the media. He should be mad and fed up. I don't think he's throwing the team under the bus. When you play atrocious like that on prime time, you should get called out. imo

Smart will likely get the start until he gets hurt (hope not), but he'll be a okay. Won't be nearly the offensive engine AR was, but I hope he's better defensively and sparks this starting unit.

Get Rui out the starting unit, too.

JJ won’t do it, but insert Knecht and put the ball in his hands more and let him cook. That’s what he’s used to doing.

You have like 5 people better at creating with the ball the Knecht. Hard to see that happening, but I agree he looks like a different player in that role. But your support guys have to learn to adjust. It’s not college anymore, and the stars typically don’t get asked to adjust.
