You or I don't want Zach.

Long season. Can't get too high or too low. There were great Austin games and sh***Y ones. He's been good for the most part.

Buha made an interesting point about how Austin is deployed: he can't be a POA guy and still be asked to do everything on offense. He's also logged a log of minutes along with Luka.

JJ mentioned last night that Austin's legs were spent or something to that effect. I mean, he does go through these cold streak with this shooting, though. Either way, we knew this going into the season. You can't have a 41 year old and Rui out there with Luka and Austin defensively. Such a slow starting 5.

ding ding ding. reaves can't be the POA defender. it's insanity. not his fault, either. everyone knows that's not the right role for him on defense, and he's fine as a chaser and even on-ball against most sgs and sfs.

AR's legs are going - happens to him every year. He'll get them back soon - typically does

Too many minutes. Luka is playing too many minutes too IMO.

Austin went all out early because there were a lot of winnable games and they won a lot of them. He’ll recover when JJ learns to trust productive players and not destroy momentum with Gabe useless a**

yeah, i'm glad we had a good start--we needed it for a change. we need to look at getting AR and luka under 34mpg here. like, when we're down 20+ in the third, maybe it's bronny time.

In his latest column for The Ringer, Bill Simmons took a hard look at the Lakers’ rotation and linked it to broader NBA trade talk. While analyzing Cleveland’s tough start, Simmons drew a sharp comparison to the Lakers.

“Garland’s situation actually reminds me of Austin Reaves,” Simmons wrote. “I really like Reaves when he plays without LeBron James. But when he shares the floor with LeBron and Luka Doncic, he gets lost immediately.”

The sample size is small—just 104 minutes together—but the numbers reflect what fans see. The trio of James, Reaves, and Doncic has a -8.9 net rating this season. “It’s exactly what you see on the court. A little clumsy,” Simmons added.

He also questioned whether Reaves could realistically be a centerpiece in a trade for Giannis Antetokounmpo.

P .S Garland 40 millions contract to Austin comparation don't make any sense

i still think we need some time to evaluate it. when lebron was doing draybron, reaves was fine. it's possible lebron stepped up bc reaves is playing hurt or something.

It’s been fine more than clunky offensively when everyone’s reasonably healthy. AR just had a bad shooting night or maybe is dinged. Offense ain’t our problem, nor AR’s with the 2 of Luka and LeBron out there too. He’s not getting “lost” out there Bill. Eff off!

We all pretty much guessed he was hurt the last couple games.

Yeah you don't go from all-nba production to stinking it up 2 games in a row without some sort of injury. AR is too good to have these types of games when healthy.

You called it, even earlier than this post, abeer. Like a day or two earlier: AR was hurt. I didn't see it.
