Can we have Nico facilitate the deal so we can keep Austin again?

i like it.

1st idea: gabe/knecht to clips for dunn/djj. awesome. pretty sure ballmer throws the hammer on it, but they could also look at zubac and think we already gave them one several-year starter.

others are interesting, too, but they get complicated. he thinks ellis won't be available to us in trade, which is what i've felt as well. so he suggests just getting carter, which i could do. doesn't do a lot for us this year, but he's a better long-term fit than knecht, imo.

he also suggests one with indy, but i think there's no way they deal with us until rob's gone.

the one with chicago where we move vando for williams/okoro/highsmith(from nets in 3-team) is interesting, but that one and the indy trade both cut into future flexibility without really delivering the kind of immediate impact i'd want.

 

sad. loved watching him throw his weight around and those left handed dunks on those 90s teams. never backed down from anyone, and that included shaq in the 04 finals. he played some great defense in that series
