He is great but I think it's the whole team and the coaches. They are building an identity and getting all the players to buy in. This is looking like a breakthrough season for us. I am not sure if we will win it all but we are going to be a top 5 team I think.

Getting in Avidja mug in a way that didn't draw a tech but made sure the message was sent was a pro move there.

It led directly to the refs calling avidja for an offensive foul a few plays later for a similar play.

What a great addition please don't get hurt

We have been missing this grit and toughness since the last Chip Squad.
What a huge pickup by Rob. This guy just makes the entire team give more effort on D and that will never be quantified by a box score.

Smart is just a tough, gritty SOB. Reminds me so much of 2020 Rondo.

Smart gives you a bunch and then Marcus takes some of it away. lol that was such stupid TO - he didn't have to rush to get the ball to rui.

He was careless, he also turned the ball over after the challenge

He does a bunch of dumb s*** like taking a break away 3 on a fast break when he had a wide open lane to the hoop. BUT he does a ton of high IQ stuff on D, being in the right spot. Getting the ball moving

The Marcus Smart experiment. Overall with the good and bad, it's a huge plus for the team. His size, switchablity on D and able to be a ball handler on offense is hige

Well, at least he owned up to it, you wouldn’t ever see Westbrook saying that, he’d be like “I don’t look backwards man, only forwards, it’s just fun, having fun out here, I just gotta be me”.

Sometimes, all it takes is getting your butt kicked once to make you stop and take notice. I am not worried about this.

You commend the thought process. Smart is seeing and reacting to opportunities faster then his own team hell his own body to execute. I love him lol just energized the team even with the dumb mistakes included

You could see on the bench he was owning up to it... That was Odom-esque.

Definitely a roller coaster but the good outweighed the bad. He was solely responsible for 3 of Wembys fouls and was the only one who hunted him on offense for one of those.

They talked about it during the broadcast, but I don't know why the league has gone away from attacking and hunting those in foul trouble more. It's letting them off the hook.
