Love to see him give us some real punch off the bench. I love his tenacity on defense!
Can someone on the coaching staff have a conversation with Rui and show him tape of Jake and say,”This is the effort you need to give us on this side of the ball.”

even if laravia wasn't playing this well, the FO made the right call on DFS. i think part of what made him pop here was the sad fact that we had so few guys who played hard all the time.

and as an aside, i still find it funny that he/his folks believed rob was spreading rumors to tank his value. first of all, you're still out with the injury you had then. second, nobody was going to sign you at a number higher than what you opted out of. we knew that and operated accordingly. sorry your agent misread the lay of the land. the fact that you opted in to make only 9 million more in guaranteed money kind of tells me that you know you're unlikely to get another contract after this one. we can't be in that business right now. houston can. we can't.

meanwhile, laravia is producing at more than double his salary rate and is under contract at that number during a critical period for us. no-brainer.

LaRavia has been awesome, and if we're looking at it as a 1:1 swap of DFS for LaRavia, I think the early returns on LaRavia have been excellent.

Boggles my mind that the Grizzlies gave him up for nothing, and subsequently, the Kings let him walk for nothing as well lol

11-5-3-1 on 54/47 splits from LaRavia off the bench. Very solid numbers and he's a solid rotation piece for us that we can plug and play

Another great game, 25/8/3 on 10-13 shots, 2-3 from 3. Very versatile player, showing growth and potential already.

Reminds me of when we had Caruso. Just a glue guy that makes winning basketball plays. Much needed on this team and compliments our stars well.

I honestly cannot believe how quickly LaRavia is fitting here. He's so effective, makes the right plays, boards, hustles, plays D and is super efficient on offense. Great addition.

I am becoming a believer in this team. Man, our front court and backcourt rotations are looking awesome.

Ayton and Jax at center, who would have thought Hayes would be looking this good??!! Starting to think this is a decent one two punch.

Lebron, Rui and Jake as our main 3 forwards, then we got Vando with Thiero waiting in the wings.

Luka, AR and Smart as out first 3 guards, with Knecht and Gabe as our secondary depth.

So, we need to stay relatively healthy because our first 8 guys can contribute at a high level but past that, we need to get lucky.

Looks like it came WAY sooner lol
Instant impact, he's commanding more than 20mpg already and is making his mark in the team. I guess teams will start to look at him more and try to make it more difficult for him but he just seems to make the right reads every time, very complete and smart player

Yeah...let's bring back Horton-Tucker and let him develop. Then we can have Laravia walk for nothing (rolls eyes). Seriously, he has MORE than replaced Finney-Smith. Can make shots which is in itself gravy.
