It rubs me the wrong way when accomplished athletes promote alcohol or unhealthy food like chips. Just... why? You have more than enough money and there are milions of kids looking up to you. I'm sure he could make the same or similar amount of money by involving hmself in the promotion of some healthy or at least neutral stuff.

LeBron isn’t these kids parents he is only parents to his own kids. It’s not his responsibility to be a role model for people’s kids. As far as the alcohol thing alcohol isn’t unhealthy in moderation LeBron isn’t responsible if people can’t control their liquor.

I’m going to disagree with this.
Like it or not, it’s a fact that youngsters look up to and idolize their favorite sports figures. I agree that it’s each parent’s responsibility to raise their kids right, but we’ve all been young and impressionable, regardless of how great a job or parents did.

Even if he endorses alcohol... so what? People (even kids) have brains... and parents. I'll take an idol like Bron (no drama, no cheating, no strippers, side kids, scandals) over some other "first page tabloids" morons. Besides, not everyone can be like my guy Cristiano :)

I disagree. With great fame comes a certain level of responsibility. The fact kids have parents diesn't change that one bit. Besides, I don't want to turn this into a discussion of that kind (I'm not teetotal), but alcohol is actually unhealthy in any quantity.

Anyway, I was talking about the principle, not alcohol specifically (that's why I also mentioned chips). I was equally disgusted when Messi promoted Lay's.

LeBron is a symbol of longevity and taking care of yourself. I'm sure he didn't get as far as he did by regularly drinking whiskey. In my opinion, this campaign sends the wrong message. Happy to agree to disagree on that one though.

But, Hennessy sucks! Just a big conglomerate and I would much prefer a smaller artisanal type of producer, who makes more complex cognacs. Same thing with wine and whiskey.

I mean, did anyone seriously believe he was going to retire? LeBron wants the red carpet pulled out for him and the entire season to be a celebration for that.

It's too late into the offseason for the NBA to plan that out for him.

For all that LeBron retiring talk, I highly doubt he's going to retire if the Lakers win the title. LeBron knows what that 6th title would do for his career so deep down, he still wants it.

I doubt anyone did but who knows. All kinds of story lines surrounding the Lakers and ex Laker, AD. Likely too much to ask but I want to see AD stay healthy. Laker/Mav match ups will be some high value entertainment. Just for my own curiosity I want to see AD healthy with no one sabotaging him just to see what we could have had.
