the "if he had a chance to" is doing some heavy lifting here...could have just said, "we'd love it if he retired a laker". which is equally non-committal.

i've already got in trouble in this thread perhaps overanalyzing, so i'll just assume it was rob being cagey but with less-than-optimal phrasing.

Imagine the restraint Rob has had since the Westbrick Debacle. He’s had an aircraft carrier’s amount of ammo to fire back at Klutch’s thinly veiled bombs in the media.
You guys know I call it like I see it and haven’t held back on my opinion of some of Rob’s moves, but keeping a cool head while constantly being jabbed and questioned has been his greatest accomplishment to date.

I’m sure his farewell tour will be full of disappointment comments if teams don’t go all out for a player who never played for them. Interesting perspective on life he has.

What's in it for the Lakers...?

LeBron should be taking massive paycuts if the Lakers are doing him a favor by keeping two of his sons on the roster.

If LeBron wants max or near max, I'm in favor of the Lakers moving on from this LeBron experiment.

His passive-aggressiveness won't work anymore because we have Luka.

LeBron season strategy. Plays 20-24 minutes as the sixth man. He gives us the best bench unit in the league, better chance of him staying healthy, clearly designates this as Luka's team. With AD, LeBron would say it was AD's team but action on the court showed otherwise. Gives JJ freedom to do what is best for the team, no a$$ kissing needed. Come playoff time, bring LeBron in a little sooner, maybe keep him in longer as needed. Maybe not, however it rolls. Gives AR the opportunity to show if he is really him. Gives Vando minutes for awesome D. Gives us a chance to compete for a championship and if we bomb, it shows the weak spots and we retool. LeBron can win sixth man awards and tell all his fans how he took one for the team. I'm just looking out for LeBron.

But I LOVED him at media day yesterday and the place he's in, his humor, his attitude and what teammates say about him .... especially AR. Been working on catch and shoot and playing off ball since we have so many ball handlers. Really GREAT stuff. Go Bron!!

Just bonkers to do this stuff at his age (and I think the stats don't take into accout he looked even better before he got hurt. No question he was an all nba player before the groin injury)







Perimeter defense and rebounding were average/below average but damn that's a lot of top notch production
