Keeping him in the 15-20 mpg range is perfect for him. Too many nights at 20 or above and he just gets injured. He definitely impacts winning though. I also love the pickup I just saw for Marcus Smart. He will fit great next to Luka and AR in a backup role.

Health and being in shape will go a long ways on how he affects the lineup

Managing his minutes will be one of the keys

:MagicmagicTW: …. guys come back from injuries all the time. Why always so quick to assume their careers of being effective are over …. especially at his age. Not enough weight is given around here IMO to internal improvement we’ll have happening from multiple players.

i mean, he'll be 34 this year. can you point to many guys who spent the years between 31 and 33 chronically injured and returned successfully to being like they were before? maybe horford? funny thing is that maxi is very much poor man's horford, imo. can bang with centers for a few minutes but also contest out to the three point line. high hoop iq on both ends. maxi never had young horford's post game, but old horford never uses it anyway.

If healthy, depth at the 5 for few minutes and "stretchy" .... different than Ayton and Hayes and Koloko. Got your Next... hangin'.

If he's healthy he could be part of the trade

If Kleber comes in for backup minutes in the late 1st/3rd Q's and/or early 2nd/4th Q's, what is the best lineup you can make around him + only 1 of the Big 3 and no Ayton?

I'm thinking Luka, Smart, LaRavia, Rui, Kleber.

Or for defense, put Vando in for LaRavia or Rui. Curious if anyone sees anything better.

I liked Mihm! But then he had that really nasty leg injury and couldn’t get all the way back and Laker fans just dumped on him.

I actually think this is the better lineup:

Lebron, Smart, LaRavia, Rui, Kleber. You have lots of shooting and lots of defense. I think Smart and LaRavia are going to be deadly on the perimeter as a tandem. Rui and Kleber in the post and LeBron as a free safety.

Offensively it’s surrounding LeBron with shooters to open up the lane for him.
