OKC up 117-76 in the THIRD QUARTER, Jokic commits some pretty wild fouls and fouls out with a minute and change to go :D, he clearly wanted to be done for the night.

They’re just pouring it on, 124-76 at the end of the 3rd.

Nice night in the NBA. C Bags down 2-0 to the Knicks now and OKC puts the beatdown on Denver by almost 50 points! Hahaha!

I watched Knicks @ Bags Game 2, and fully expected BOS to bring it, the series would be tied 1-1 going back to MSG.

Bags go up 20: I'm just watching their sets, looking at how NY is trying to guard them. Bags oddly still really lousy from deep, after they - IIRC - broke the NBA record for most 3s attempted and made this year. They were 10 for 40 today after going 15 for 60 in Game 1. It's a tired but true cliché: live by the 3; die by the 3.

Then the Knicks made a little run, but I expected the Bags to shut them down.

But they didn't. Brunson, that odd-looking dude, wants the ball in the the crunchiest time and he has brass ones. Hart and OG playing tight D...Mikal Bridges with really great D, esp. very late. Knicks win! Bags took a 12 point lead into the 4th and the Knicks won the 4th by 13.

Bags led by 14 with 7 1/2 left in the game.

Bridges hits a well-guarded shot: Knicks down 12.
    Horford misses a 3.
Bridges hits another tough shot: Knicks down 10.
    Horford misses an 11-footer.
Bridges hits a 3: Knicks down 7. Still 5:50 left.
Derrick White misses a long 3.
    Brunson misses a 27 footer.
Derrick White makes both FTs: Bags up 9, 5:05 left.
Bridges misses a 3, but Hart gets the board, dishes to Brunson for a 3: Knicks down 6.
    Derrick White misses a 3.
Bridges misses a 3, Hart gets the board, but his pass gets picked off by Tatum, who misses a 3.
Hart hits a floater: Knicks down 4. Still over 3 mins left.
Jaylen Brown pulls up for an open 25 foot 3: he misses.

Bags think they need to use up their fouls, apparently so they can foul Mitchell Robinson in the bonus. I find it a questionable tactic, but what do I know. Bags commit 3 fouls in literally 3 secs of clock time. All "take" fouls. Robinson's FT shooting is worse than mine. Thibs with his ornery crotchety sourpuss face plastered on reliably, substitutes OG for Robinson. Like, Mazzulla: what did you think would happen?

Hart misses a floater, but KAT tips it in and gets fouled by Horford: Knicks down 2 with 2:33 left. My gawd. They can't actually win Game 2 also, can they? KAT hits the FT: it's a 1-point game with 2:33 left!

Tatum misses an 11 footer. When was the last time the Bags made a FG? Answer: 7 minutes and counting.

Brunson goes into hero mode, dribbles and dances, faking left, faking right, stepping back, starting to drive, pulls up: makes an 18 footer: Knicks lead for the first time since the the first mins of the game!
Jaylen Brown misses a floater. If you're a C-Bag hater - and I confess to being an all-time hater - this feels like Xmas.

    With 1:21 left, Bridges misses a 3.

Jaylen Brown pulls up from 19 feet: misses! Derrick White tips it: misses!

Brunson makes a nutty "lay-up": Knicks up 3 with 56 secs left. My life-long Bags hatred still has me afraid they'll somehow pull it out.

Tatum goes to the rack strong, KAT fouls the eff outta him. Tatum makes 'em both: Knicks by 1 with 44 secs left.

Brunson thinks he can make anything. He has a guy in his jock as he attempts a dagger 3 pull-up with 26 secs left: it misses. This is where I felt the old C-Bag Dread. They get the last shot? Down 1? Bags timeout.

Tatum gets the ball and drives straight to the rack for a slam. Knicks defensive breakdown. Tatum went about 60 feet on a straight line through an Arizona desert: no one around, no one even touched him, much less contested. WTF?

But only 6 secs went off the clock. Bags by 1 with 18 secs left. It's their first FG in over EIGHT MINUTES! Knicks timeout.

Brunson - of course! - gets the ball. Jrue, doing everything you can expect from a great defensive player like he is, keeps Brunson from hitting his shot. But he did foul him. Brunson hits both. Knicks back up 1 with 12 secs left. In my opinion there's something aesthetically annoying about Brunson's overall game, but he really does have the ice water in veins thing going on.

Bags can't get a decent look as the clock runs out: Tatum has Mitchell Robinson on him. He cuts through the paint, then OG and Bridges collapse onto Tatum, who tries to hit Jaylen at the arc, but Bridges steals it: game over!...

...and the Bags are down 0-2, heading back to MSG. And I feel that little dopamine hit.

yeah, i really don't like watching him, nor do i think his style of play is likely to yield a ring, but...whatever it takes to get the C Bags out.

It's hella tough for a little guy, as the 1st option, to lead a team to a Championship. Looking back...You have Steph and Zeke, but I draw a blank after Thomas. I liked Murphy back in the day though, he was only 5'9, big heart, big game.

I'm not sure Brunson, would make it injury free, through the Finals.

It's been a long time since I saw a team go down 0-2 at home and I still suspect they'll come back and win the series, but here I am. Most of it is my own emotions, probably clouding judgement.

The numbers game suggests Bags bombs will start hitting again. They just had a rare very bad 2-game stretch from deep. Their season suggests they could easily hit 20-25 in a game. A lot of those misses - 75 in two games - were wide open looks. Those start to go down, Thibs has his guys putting more pressure out on the arc, and Bags get easy buckets down low. Hope I'm wrong. Home crowds hugely disappointed so far in the 2nd round, save for that OKC win by 80 against DEN or whatever it was.
