none of them can shoot nor create good shots in isolation. i didn't understand why they didn't pursue fox harder. i felt like jalen green plus picks for fox was a good move for both teams, and i think houston looks WAY different if they make that move.

 

There is no way they don't pursue KD or even Ja this summer.

i said it somewhere else, but as of this moment, we definitely deserve the shade. and i think williams has a legit axe to grind. us pulling out of that trade probably cost him a ton of money. best case, he's healthy, and it was just a public embarrassment. worst case, he really is damaged goods, and we broadcast it everywhere before he could sign his first huge contract.

anyway, time will tell whether we were right (i'm actually suspecting we were), but you can't expect him to happy about it. so it's pretty natural for him to enjoy watching us get soundly beaten because we couldn't play anyone at center (while the guy we traded for him didn't see the floor, either).

wish the league would have just allowed the first to be dropped/heavily protected after the fact. i don't really see why trades can't be amended after the deadline due to information on physicals--as long as the player hasn't played yet, why not let the teams discuss it further?

 

Not sure he would have solved our rim protection issue. Although he is a definite upgrade to anything we currently have at the center position. We only have 1st round pick to use this summer, so it better be traded for someone at the 5 who checks all if not most of the boxes.

I spoke on the trade exemption when a player is injured after the deadline. They should be allowed to alter the pieces of the trade - namely, take a player out and/or add/subtract draft capital. They should also call it the Laker Exemption just so everyone can continue hating us.
