How Much Is A Signed Brandon Ingram Basketball Worth?

Hey guys

I have a signed Brandon Ingram signed basketball. I have a picture with him and the signed ball for confirmation. If I were to sell it online, how much would it be worth?

I am a teacher and I need every $ I can get. I could also use the $ for my grad school textbooks. Any guesses? Thank you.

According to some he is a surefire HoF, so you better off holding onto that ball and selling it for millions down the line. Imagine having Kobe-signed ball circa 1994?!

TBH... I am more shocked that teachers all around the globe struggle. That's messed up.

 

I think these guys are well known and could give you an idea. Of course, they pay less than it's worth because they have a large audience following them you may never find elsewhere, but it may be a wash in the end.

ETA: The cheapest one on ebay is 85 dollars... now whether anyone is actually getting that price is another question. If it's personalized it might be worth a little more going by the other balls on sale

Considering 7 seasons of winning at 44% isn't a large enough sample... I'm not sure what might qualify.



But yes I'll agree the answer lies somewhere between 7 years and 4 games.

 

In the short term, sometimes teams will play above their heads knowing they must compensate for missing talent. But they cannot sustain it.

For instance, our record is 1.000 if we are not playing without AD and Lebron in the same game. Therefore we are better off without them.

I'm just saying 4 games spread out isn't really a fair assessment no matter how you look at it, but neither is comparing his time in NO to LA. Two completely different scenarios, but of course we will naturally overvalue him while he's here, and suddenly undervalue those who are no longer here. All of that evidence becomes clear over time.

I'd relate it to the Pau Gasol trade. Year 1 everyone said we got over on Memphis. Years later, it was viewed as a win win. I'd say that already that trade was a win win, but who knows, it may turn out to be in their favor later.

But we still would have made the move to take advantage of Lebron's final elite years, as the young talent wasn't on the level to take advantage of that yet. I hope they dominate and it becomes win win in NO favor, as we are now positioned to reload after Lebron's contract and keep it going. You can't underestimate the value having the absolute best HOF type of talent on the team.

 

I get needing to capitalize on what is likely LBJ's last couple years of elite play.

I have no problem with those who say things like "we had no choice considering his window" that argument makes sense to me.

But many responses are much less nuanced than this... some are outright arrogant.

And those deserve a more arrogant retort.

Begrudging or mild acceptance is a position I can understand.

I wonder if BI will ever be as good as he is this year. It's his contract year and there's no Zion to share the ball/floor with. He's getting all the shots and opportunities right now.

 

By that standard you could take any mediocre player and give them the ball and they would convert them into points.

Kobe during the year the Lakers went 34-48 in 2004... had an eFG% of 48.2%
I get that Kobe was always being guarded more closely... but this is a year where they were no threat just like the Pelicans.
His career eFG% is only 48.2%

Ingram's been cooling off but his eFG% is 54.4%... even last season it was 51.8% which is higher than Kobe shot his entire career.

Is it because of shot selection? No... Ingram shoots only 25% of his shots at the rim... 42% from mid range... 33% from 3
Kobe that season shot 27% of his shots at the rim... 44% from mid range... 29% from three. (Career he shot only 21% at the rim and 22% from three reflecting his era)

My point isn't to put down Kobe... but to demonstrate that Ingram plays like a perimeter player and still has much more efficient numbers.

If Ingram maintains his FT% then there's little difference between himself and many other elite perimeter scorers in the league.
James Harden for example has a 55.8 eFG% and a 52.7 career eFG%
LBJ's career eFG% is 54.1% and peaked at 61% but he shot 40% of his shots from the rim so he was playing more like a power forward in terms of scoring when he put up those numbers in 2014.

Ingram's eFG% is also higher than Dame's... it's currently at KD's career level which is 54.2%

Even if he comes back to earth a couple percentage points he's still a legit scorer.

The other aspect of BI's game that I would have never predicted is the 86.5% FT shooting.

That was the biggest obstacle to him becoming a DeRozan level player let alone higher.

But DeRozan's career eFG% is only 46.9%... Westbrook's is 46.4%... so if Ingram even fell down to 50%... he'd still be better than either of those two with the revitalized FT shooting.

It's only half a season... so I agree he could decline a little... but his statistical trend has gone up every year, so if you are a betting person it will probably stand pat or improve with Zion's gravity.

His total numbers might go down, but his percentages should improve like Harden's did when he played with KD in OKC.
