Isn't it ironic that we're going to bring in LeBron and George, which could potentially push Ingram and Kuzma out of the starting lineup? Personally I'd love to bring in Cousins and George. That way, we can roll with this lineup: Cousins Kuzma Ingram George Ball Another alternative: Bring in Cousins and IT2. Cleveland isn't going to pay IT2 what he wants, and nobody else really has $ to pay him. Maybe he takes a discount at $20M per season to play next to his old buddy Cousins? Cousins Kuzma Ingram Ball (oddly enough, Ball would be focusing more on defense if we got IT2) IT2 But yeah I have to agree with @therealdeal here. If you can get LeBron, you get him and you don't think twice. He would make everybody better and not to mention show these guys how to win and close games. We'd also be guaranteed back in the playoffs. Oh, and ANYTHING to stop THOSE GUYS from winning another championship since they're killing it with anybody they put out there (god so annoying)...and they could be after Anthony Davis next by dangling Jaylen Brown, the LAL/SAC pick and their other 18 first round picks they still have.
Lebron annoys me and that's putting it lightly but no one can seriously think we will pass on signing him if he wants to come. I hated Malone, Nash, etc much more but embraced them when they put on the purple and gold jersey and I'll do it again.
There's no logical reason not to sign LeBron if he's healthy and willing. There's countless emotional reasons (many of which I can sympathize with), but I'm going to sign him and run away happy. I'm sure there'll be plenty of upset fans, but hey there's actual Laker fans that still think Ball is a bust so... what can you do?
Oh, he's gifable, so I'm sure I'll love having him around. endless material to work with. Never be bored again.
I take him for sure, and I will root for him, but in an ideal world Luke starts playing Randle at the 4 and we grow as a team adding PG13 and win a title in 4-5 years with our kids.
I will set up a non profit foundation that will pay the web hosting fees and the domain renewal for www.ihatelebron.com annually forever so the evidence of his douchery will live for all time.
I mean in an ideal world Kobe never gets old, Chris Paul trade never gets vetoed illegally, and we never trade for Steve Nash. Also in an ideal world we win a title this year and every year, but that's not going to happen. Honestly in my ideal world, we sign LeBron and Paul George and keep all our kids as is and win next season. I like Randle, but not enough to wait 5 years for a ring.
I'm with Real a 100%...I'm not waiting on GS's reign...That's a b**** move. Take it to them now. Put our young guys around winners and titles and that puts them on a new projection. I don't mind losing to the Dubs, but take it to them so their cakewalk to the Finals ends. Btw, ideal world had us picking just one more spot ahead to get that KAT-Benny pairing. We'd be lit for the foreseeable future.
Right. @abeer3 talks about it this sometimes: we were one pick away every year from having Towns and Simmons to go with Ball.
I disagree fam....KAT alone didn't really help Minny budge from being bottom feeders and Benny was red-shirted. Zo still coulda been had. It really doesn't matter now, but putting passers like Zo-BS with a bunch of scoring options around them...yikes! Ben shoulda hired Lavar to get him to LA...he f'd that up real hard for himself, cause dude wanted to be a Laker in the worst way. Now he's locked up in Philly, awaiting due process.
Minny went from 16 wins to 29 wins. We make a jump even half that big, we would have leapfrogged two teams in the standings.
They also already have a LeBron, Simmons is practically a clone of young LeBron. Not sure where he’d fit there.
