Oh yeah, that's pretty much implied with any Lebron team though. If the young guys can show some real potential this year, which I think they will, we can show how he might be better off with us. Lonzo Ingram Lebron George I would take that over what Cleveland has, but maybe I'm just biased. Plus if that happens, I would love if we somehow got Lopez to stay.
I need to see Lonzo and Ingram put it together on the floor against NBA guys, but the potential is there. Right now we've got no Kawhi and no Kyrie. If one of our kids even looks like he might be that good, LeBron will jump with George too. And yes I think people are underestimating what Lopez will do for us offensively and defensively.
I think Lebron is fascinated with leading a third franchise to a title. Only Kareem, Wilt and him got 2 titles for two different teams. It's about his legacy now, he might have lost 5 but if he leads the NBA's most storied franchise to a ring or two, come on! nota bene Horry, Elie, Harper, Salley doesn't count lol
Its probably gonna be so effing tough to decide on possibly re-signing KCP or Lopez. Right now im taking KCP who would help us contain Curry,Harden,WestB.
Don't know how you guys are being so optimistic about signing 2 max FAs next summer. Unloading Deng's contract is nearly impossible. It took DAR to trade Mozgov where Mozgov was better tradable asset than Deng. I can't imagine what it will take to unload Deng's contract. Randle + 2 1st rounders...
Was listening to ESPNLA710 earlier and the Kam bros were on. They brought up that Lebron notices the effort Magic and Rob have put in to rebuild the culture and star fielding a competitive team again in comparison to Dan Gilbert. He fired his GM while he was in the works of putting together a trade for Jimmy Butler or Paul George. The only players they added were Jose Calderon and Jeff Green. Paying some foreign rookie center money instead of signing Jamal Crawford, the only guy Lebron campaigned for this off season. They also brought up that there's a chance of Lebron coming here, not sure on percentage but enough that there is legitimate talk. Magic and Rob's talks and actions have been being all in for 2018 and they are allowing the free agents to talk to each other about coming here for a year.
This is the sort of thing that just didn't happen with Mitch. He didn't use the back channels to plant the seeds that got guys thinking about LA or teaming up in LA. Rob Pelinka has no such reservations and I think it's going to play a massive part in this process. That way, by the time teams like San Antonio come into the picture, we've already got guys dead-set on coming here.
IF Ball accomplishes such a thing, he'd be up for sainthood and fans will want to see if he can walk on water too.
Serena Winters reports that Brons.agent called Pelinka and said he likes what the Lakers are doing and wants to talk after the season. Serena said it was Pelinka who told her this. Serena is not gonna lie about that. If she did, her career is over in LA.
