In all of March and throughout all the tourney with stiffer competition all while getting the experience, i think his numbers are good and got better pretty much all the way through the end of the year. With the exception of January where his FG% was .3-.4 better, his 3PT was almost off by 20% and his FT% was down over 10% as well. So he did IMO, continue to grow better all the way up till his last game which wasn't the greatest.
fox might be conley, might be collison; probably somewhere in between. same is true of all these guys, though. seems like low-hanging fruit in terms of arguments. explain why fox WILL be collison and ball WILL be jason kidd/steph curry/lebron/lavar ball, and i'm listening. suggesting the low end for one whilst ignoring it for the other isn't really worth our time.
Just to add some more context to my post last page where I said he reminds me more of Conley but more athletic: Not saying Fox is as good as Conley is now. Just looking at styles of play and their struggles in college. Conley was an even worse shooter in college than Fox and now Conley is a knock down 3 point shooter. It took him many years in the pros to get to that point though.
I would argue everything I've heard of Fox, he'll be better than Collison. I haven't heard even whispers of him being a bad dude or having any serious character flaws. I think he lands somewhere between Beverley and Wall. I think Ball lands somewhere between Magic and Jordan. Kidding. I have no idea where he lands. His ceiling is Kidd but his floor is probably a rich man's Kendall Marshall.
right, so darren collison vs. kendall marshall is a fair discussion, as is kidd versus conley. it just can't be kidd vs. collison.
So Shannon's brother Sterling Brown from SMU is coming to work out for the Lakers tomorrow. How good is he?
Am I the only one who thinks Collison has always played with meh personnel at best and has always been a bit low key under rated?
he didn't translate as a defender or a floor general as a pro, so he was forced into a backup role. problem is that he keeps being re-thrusted into starting positions, and he looks bad there.
His ark is a little high, but other than that I like his shooting stroke. If he has any kind of defense, he might be a good pickup
