Been looking at the schedules and the Giants have the easier path going into the last 28 games. 49% of their games are against teams under .500 vs the Dodgers at 43%.

Dodgers key games down the stretch:

3Xs vs Giants (85-49)

6Xs vs Padres (71-63)

3Xs vs Brewers (82-53)


Giants keys games:

3Xs Dodgers (85-49)

9Xs Padres (71-63)

3Xs Braves (71-62)



The Padres look to have the toughest schedule to close out the season in the NL west.

 

So sad about the padres.

They remind me so much of the 2019-2020 slips. All talk and swagger, only to clip once again. Padres are done and will be lucky to even make the WC.

The Brewers are looking solid tho. Yeesh.

Roberts needs to be fired. Jansen in the game issues 4 pitch walk first batter in the 9th..why the loyalty to this choke artist? Jansen is garbage


Should have brought Jansen in in the 8th inning and Blake in in the 9th and he could have went 2 innings. Instead we use Vasquez who hasn't pitched in the show since 2019 and last time he did he got lit up. Arrgghhjjjh.....

If they make it through the 10th Justin Turner is gonna have to pitch again lmao

Roberts should have been fired a couple years ago.


Now we lose on an error lol. Turner is used to playing 2nd base (edited) so turning the opposite direction to make that throw is different for him but we can't lose on an error damn..

 

I like roberts but I get some of the head scratches from some of his moves. That being said, we hit we win. The only guy not hitting for crap is Belli and we NEED him to win it all.

As for tonights game I was literally thinking win or lose that last pitcher has some NASTY stuff. Dude showed something out there. A F'n error to end that game sucks but JT getting tossed at the plate twice sucks more. If it was the other Turner then I say make the dash but not Justin. I figured we would take 2-3 in this series. Guess we need to win the next two now.

These are just a couple of the bigger mistakes that he's made. There are many many more. He's a players coach, and the team likes him generally speaking but he's not one of the top managers in the league. These guys have had the talent to win more than just a single world series, we've won 8 straight division titles. Almost as bad as the Braves in the 90's and Bobby Cox (Roberts couldn't hold Bobby's jockstrap). Using Jansen when everybody knows he's shot has cost us time and again. Using Kershaw as a reliever and to start on 2 days rest are more examples. Generally it's just about his pitching calls, he doesn't know wtf he's doing and I only say that because he continues to make the same mistakes over and over.

 

Lol while I don't disagree you could always say the same thing. "If we got a couple more hits tonight we would have won". Roberts is absolutely terrible and his deficiencies show up much brighter in the playoffs. There's a laundry list of his terrible exploits if you just do a Google search of Roberts in the playoffs. The part that kills me is of those choices Kershaws (aside from the team) legacy has been impacted the most. He's been asked to do things that the majority of other managers wouldn't have asked him to do. Pitch on 2 days rest, come out of the bullpen after pitching 2 days earlier and just general overuse. Im not excusing his poor playoff performances but damn have we all not seen how good this guys really is and how maybe overuse after a long season with tons of innings might have effected him?

Roberts personality is awesome, can't say enough about him there. It's his decision making and what really impacts the team and even moreso in the playoffs where it matters...using Jansen in 1 run games, shoot he almost blew it in the first game of this series. You can't tell me Blake wouldn't be a better option as the closer right now but for some reason Jansen is still the closer

Urias is a beast, and now we have Buehler goin today. Gotta be stoked about that, but then again, it’s not been the pitching that is holding us back. Jesus these noodle bats are pissing me off.

Pollock out with a hammy strain. Down for 2-3 weeks minimum. Wonderful. Now it’s time for Belli to quit f***ing around. Swing for contact, go for singles first, not bombs. Standing on first is infinitely better than sitting on the bench. Especially now.

buehler vs what looks to be another bullpen game for the gints. Everything in the Dodgers favor today to take the season series, and 1st place again.

 

I'm not happy about Polluck being hurt. He's been the hot bat as of late. I do think Bellinger needs as many at bats as he can get before the playoffs to "swing" himself into rhythm. He's awful right now

 

Walker had a terrible game but they can't all be perfect. But against the Giants....arrrggghhhhhh!!!!!!!!
