I'm not so familiared with that stat, but don't those percentiles look bad? They're all average no?

Yeah I know you like him, and I get it, he's no bum. Just not that high on him.

I agree it's a gamble to trust the FA market but I think for the MLE there's always 4/5 guys. And we probably will be a coveted destination giving our glaring need at the 4.

the defensive percentiles are good. not great (like say, kessler's), but good. generally better than say, petyon watson's.

not that far off from dort:

it's clear we're prioritizing youth, but washington's 27, not over 30 or something. his deal takes him to 31, where, yes, he'll have dropped off. but he'll be expiring then, and we may be in full rebuild at that point.

I think they’re already looking ahead to Luka’s supermax and potentially retaining Adou and Sexton. When you add the MLE and BAE to the above. You don’t have much money.

Theoretically it can work, you can add PJ to the above but you’d need to get rid of Vando and have no BAE, which means you might not be able to retain a Jake or Ziaire if they’re any good.

Who knows at this point;the team was just sold for 12 billion dollars. The new owners have no ties to the old guard like Walter did. I expect them to evaluate everything this season, and go from there. They may have different ideas about, how we should operate;salary cap wise and everything else.

    We'll see.

I don’t think a good guy is a guy trying to evict tenants during Covid. Thats not political. You’re just a douche. That guy is our controlling owner. Josh plans on being the controlling owner according to his firm.

it’s like the guy who owns the Lakers is the guy who throws the keys at the valet and tells him to fetch.

in any pj trade scenario i'd have vando outgoing. if you didn't, jake would be gone anyway.

i don't know what the second-year dips are about, but i just can't believe we have a great player lined up for the mle a full year in advance and would forego opportunities for improvement this year to wait that out. reeks of the paul george fiasco in certain ways.

Don’t ever bring up Paul George around here. They’ve been talking about some Bronny workout video.

I just want these new owners to stay away from our players. Let them gell and develop. Feels like I haven’t talked about Cam Carr in ages because of this damn sale.

I’m kind of pissed at Walter why didn’t he sale to a more deep pocketed owner. He didn’t give a f***. He gets a 450 million discount on taxes if the sale is approved before November.

Kushner is the controlling owner. Eisner is the Magic Johnson the face. I’m still putting all this s*** together.

I have no idea who is going to run it. But please have a basketball person around it. I just hope our team continues to compete. Like the Lakers are going to be good. Let’s f*** it up and investigate Mark Walters go sale your team now. Forced sale.

    L.A. vs. everybody.

btw, the longer the offseason drags on, the more interested i get in jalen smith. he could be a similarly impactful addition to kuminga, imo. the fit isn't obvious, but it's sort of like getting a second mamu, but more athletic and a little less skilled. i think he can play the 4 and probably hold his own guarding big wings, but can also serve very effectively as a smallball center. you could play him and mamu together on the back line in second units, and i'd be willing to try him opposite luka as a forward in some lineups.

i've also warmed to the idea of re-pursuing hunter (which is a rob favorite, of course). vando/hardy for hunter works, saves the kings 7m this year (though adds money next year in vando--but who cares, nobody's signing there). hunter is the stopgap forward.

any of this is preferable to just, like, cutting knecht.

We get that championship luck that every team needs it could happen. I'm a big proponent of working hard and making your own luck but some things are just beyond control.

Yep in addition to hard work it also takes a bit of luck when it comes to championships.
The fist part is having an owner that truly wants to win. If an owner is more into the business side of the sport good luck. Money sounds good but nba has a limit on how you can spend
