If you’ve watched the starters the last few weeks, you’ll see why. Sheehan and Wrobo are done. Getting Skubal was a need to win the title.
I was being sarcastic lol. Skubal was a major add since Ohtani's knee is messed up; who knows if he will pitch again this year. Sheehan sucks balls and Wrobo is getting found out, but they've been the innings eaters while Snell/Glasnow/Ohtani are crippled. Kind of shocking the rest of MLB didn't pony up many big offers for Skubal.
RIP Tommy John. Every time a MLB pitcher or pitcher at any level, or player, gets his career saved by the procedure bearing your name you will be remembered as long as the game is played.
