yeah, it sounds weird, but it's not the top guys who exposed our weak POA. the top guys destroy any individual defender. it's why they're the top guys.

where we got burned is when guys like brandon williams (who i believe is currently unemployed) just iso'd up and got into the paint every trip down in more than one game last year. thybulle, even post injuries, can turn the water off on those kinds of guys. this is why i wanted keon ellis, too. everyone's like "he dies on screens" and "he can't guard big strong guys". don't care. tired of watching teams not even need a screen to break the whole defense. at least a screen means another defender gets involved, and you can start dictating some of the action there.

guys like thybulle and smart can shut down secondary guys and just keep the big dogs from waltzing to exactly where they want to go.

Lol. It is just about giving JJ a bunch of good options. I always my ideas about who I want to start but reality is, I really just want extreme competition in camp and to let the players claim starting spots and playing time through hard work and fit. My personal preference is to begin the games with tough defense. Especially since we have Luka, AR and Walker to build offense around. We have so many great options and directions we could go. Have fun JJ, I am so jealous...lol.

Length! F for health is rough. Hopefully we can help with that, and he can excel in a light work load. Very little risk on that move.

no. we signed him, so now, you see, he was overrated and there was a reason he was available for the minimum.

now, had sam presti added him...

I don't think I've ever seen someone playing the defense "from behind" as well as Matisse. Honestly.
