Don't think so. Same logic applied to Knecht and Thiero, guys that slip in the draft and we pick them up as they fill a need (shooting and/or athleticism), although mostly we are trusting their upside

The Lakers seem to have a nose for players that are drafted late

This was a first round pick so I threw that out there

he doesn't seem as scrawny as ingram - that frame where you just don't think any mass can be added. Hopefully he can add 20lbs of muscle - he's got potential as he can shoot and jump.

    Looks great honestly.

I've also liked what I've seen from Manon on defense.

Adou still looks raw, but he's got the athleticism to do things you just can't teach.

Yeah, he's 6'5 and weighs 170. Just way too thin. Ingram was scrawny because he was much taller but Carr should be able to add some weight to his frame. He's going to get shoved out of the way by guys like Brunson and Harden.

Lavine weighed in around 180 lbs his rookie season and got up to 220 lbs at one point. If Carr can get around 210, you could have a very serviceable perimeter defender who can guard the 1-3. Just tough to see how 170 lbs will last in the NBA. One elbow to the Carr's ribs and he's going to understand that he needs to bulk up.

Combine had him at 184, still not very husky for his height, but better than 170. Where were you sourcing that from?

"Cameron Carr measured 6'4.5" (barefoot) and 184 pounds at the NBA Draft Combine, with a 7'0.75" wingspan. Born on November 21, 2004, the 21-year-old wing was widely considered one of the top athletic performers at the combine, posting a massive 42.5-inch max vertical leap"

He plays passing lanes real well, covers 3 pt shooters really well and adds rim protection. Pretty good skills for a rookie to have innately.

He needs to work on stance fundamentals, shielding players, poking at the ball and being stronger so he can be an on man defender.

He was rubbing his left knee some on the bench and didn’t play much in 2nd half. Did anyone see him tweak it?

He had a "toenail situation," which is why he didn't play in the second half according to Ty Abbott.

This dude has a lot of potential. I think he'll get rotation mins this yea, IMO. Might not be much, but I don't mind it. I'm sure they'll be spots for him. Long season.

He is a bit older (21), and will be 22 early in the season. I think those extra couple years will make him more playable than the kids that played 5 games in college after coming out of HS.

Yeah if he could add 10-15 lb he could be starting ahead of Grimes by the end of the season.
