    I’d love to see us do stuff like this, we have so few assets, no 2nd rounders and players teams don’t want. I still wish we’d have done something like trade Rui for 2nd rounders if he wasn’t in our future plans, rather than lose yet another asset for nothing

    IHart is genuinely a game winner, he is probably the 2nd or 3rd most important player for OKC. I think they resign him for 20m per for 3-4 years.

    Mara is another cost controlled young guy to develop while they dump Dort/Joe. Probably Jaylin Williams also becomes expendable either in a trade this year or a dump next offseason.

    why is memphis trading out of the 1st round in exchange for 5-6 second round picks? Didn't they get the anti-tanking memo?

    Yeah kinda weird. I guess they aren't high about anyone and are just collecting assets and moving down
    This is a big pick for them. Their center minutes were distributed by Hart, Chet and Jaylin. Don't see how Mara gets playing time. I think they'll need to move someone


    Can't believe NOLA doesn't get a FRP. What a dumb franchise

    What you don’t want to do is just trade a guy just to trade a guy. You don’t want to just trade for Turner cause you gotta have a Center. Cause you get stuck with a bad contract and a guy you can’t move off of. If Turner is not that much of an upgrade from Ayton why would you trade for him and mess up your cap? I just don’t see the Lakers doing that.

    The deal is #17 + 2 seconds from OKC for #16 from Memphis.

    We didn't have the #17 not 2 second rounds.


    Anyway, looking like we are keeping the pick. That's a bummer. Only 2 picks to trade so less likely to go strong on the trade market.
    Quite a passive market. I think a few teams had good opportunities to be a bit more bold

    Hope we get a good prospect. Feeling Carr and Cenac sliding may be a poison pill. We can't bite

    They selected Thomas Sorber last year as #15 and he hasn't played yet either. He is apparently a very good prospect. I think both him and Mara are on the team this year.

    It's tough because they are competing while developing young guys - I don't think they can let Hart or Chet go. So it comes down to, do you believe either of Sober or Mara can fill in as the backup C. Right now they're 4 & 5 could look like this, it's a good mix of youth and experience:

    Chet / Williams
    IHart / Sober / Mara
