Just stumbled upon this. Couldn't agree more. My wife has been trying to get me to eat one for over a decade. Not doing it.

Yes, but deep fried ice cream is A-OK.

    US food culture is odd.

Do people like 5 guys? I found their burgers to be barely edible.

Hodads in San Diego. Sit down place. Best burger I've ever eaten.

I had been ignoring this place for years because of the lines. One day, I was walking past and it had no line, got a burger and it was really good. Pricey but worth it.

Finally watched this last night. Really good. What a tortured individual though, from being devastated at a young age by the loss of his brother in the Korean War, an absolute a-hole of an abusive father, coming from a town of 700 people and the 8 losses to the C Bags in the finals. All of it played hell with his self image and sense of worth during his most prime years. Would imagine getting his nose broken 9 freaking times didn't help. Yikes!! (Jerry West broke his nose at least nine times during his basketball career. The physical toll was so frequent that he famously joked about his wife being married to "nine different guys" because of the recurring changes to his facial structure.) What a sweet stop on a dime great jumper and driven competitor .... and another avid golfer.

The link won't paste .... on Amazon Prime

Pretty good show, it skipped some stuff about he, Phil and Jeannie. Did not broach the subject of his leaving the Lakers organization.

Definitely. As well him going absolutely bonkers over his depiction in Winning Time. With pretty good reason and of course neither of those issues were about basketball which is what the show was about.
