Same guy got all vicious with me early in the year or last (I forget) with his etched in stone stance that Bronny will NEVER be a rotational player for an NBA team, while being 5 years from HIS physical prime and having the heart to work at it and for it. Someone's poop doesn't stink it seems. ;)

I'd give Duren $30 million if the Pistons don't want to. Duren is struggling on his own for sure, he doesn't have much of an individual offensive game and I think he lets his offensive frustration impact his effort/resolve in other areas. But the biggest part of this is how Cleveland (and Orlando before them) are guarding P&Rs.

They're putting size on Cade (Strus has been guarding him, as opposed to Mitchell, Harden, or Schroder or Merrill, Orlando had Franz guarding him before he got hurt and Black doing it after). Cade's defender is going under high ball screens, daring Cade to shoot threes off the dribble which he's not great at doing, or they're switching. If they switch, Duren has a bigger guard/forward on him and Ausar's man is completely ignoring him to collapse into the paint. They're packing the paint to strangle the Cade/Duren P&Rs because the Pistons don't really have any other consistent forms of offense. No one else except Jenkins sometimes can reliably create advantages. Unless they're getting points off turnovers, or Tobias is on a heater on spot-up jumpers, they're having a really hard time scoring.

I think Duren would look awesome with Luka and Austin. Luka is one of the most prolific off-the-dribble three-point shooters in the league, you can't go under on high ball screens with him. When he's not injured, you also can't switch centers onto him. Austin is a more streaky pull-up shooter, but he's also one of the most efficient P&R ballhandlers in the league. Say you re-sign Rui and he's spotting up for those wing and corner threes, that's a WAY better ecosystem for Duren to thrive in.

If Cleveland makes it to the ECF does anyone believe them and LeBron would be open to a reunion.? LeBron box would be checked with a contender and his home.Would Cleveland give up 2-3 pieces to the Lakers? realistically it would be better to part with him for depth than anyone else wouldn’t it?

No they wouldn’t give up 2/3 pieces for him. Maybe you could get Allen in a S&T back.

I’d be happy buying low on Duren. He fits the profile of what we’re looking for and agree on your assessment on how much he would benefit here as opposed to in Detroit.

I'm positive that he'd be interested in finishing up in Cleveland. As far as Cleveland giving us 2-3 pieces back in a trade? Pretty much impossible, because Lebron is unrestricted and the Cleveland payroll, is just too high to be hard capped at those numbers. However they very well could gift us Ellis, for Bronny in a sign and trade.

You would prefer Duren over Watson or Suggs at 30M?

Allen is at 28M..Who are we sending back?

i'd take any of those three. beggars can't be choosers, tbh. any player who's actually worth that salary slot would be great for us, and those three all do things nobody else on the team right now can do, imo.

Flame suit on AGAIN .... I want to see Bronny here next year. More in his potential-going-forward bag than Ellis because of his strength and athleticism. Just needs to get comfortable and confident scoring with the Varsity as he has shown plenty of glimpses he can. May be good enough against other reserves to stay in front of his covers, and add in his good passing and vertical game. Fan favorite too if he can be a spark plug rotational player. Far less expensive as well. Oh s*** here they come. :D

If Pops is heading to Cleveland, Bronny is going with him. All those stories about Bronny running around the Cavs facility, like a little crown prince as a child? How he used to be memorized watching videos of his dad playing, in the locker room after games? He's definitely going with him IMO.

Pretty sure Mama James will be putting the kabosh on that. But just saying what MY druthers would be. I think the kid has a nice future in the league and would hate to see it in some other uniform.

I’ve seen in a lot of places that fans want to change the team because we got swept. So players like Reaves, Rui, Kennard, Smart are all to be traded or discarded.

I don’t feel this takes into consideration that for 2/3rds of the season we were on a 60 win pace. If we had Luka, we take OKC to the brink. They’re not that good.

I want to add to that core, not start with new players again every season. We have the ability to make a trade, and one of the MLE exceptions. Add 2 players to our core and we’re a much deeper team.

I don't know LT..they are both from Akron..so finishing the journey in Cleveland ,might appeal to Savanna too. Full circle type of cap, to a remarkable career. They won't be moving back East.
