Yeah but he didn’t have the right horses, Booker and Green aren’t LeBron, Luka and Reaves. Adding Brooks as your 5th starter is a lot different than your 2nd option no?

 

He was the 4th guy in Memphis and shat the bed in the playoffs against the Lakers - don't trust him at all

 

We already have Adou. We just need to give him the chance to take on that role. High motor, physical, athletic, kick a$$ kind of player. No need to go shopping for what we already have. Hire Metta to be his personal trainer and guru. He should be able to pick up that elbow to the head trick pretty quick.

 

I guess the refs are allowing mma in this series. Arm bars are legal.

 

i think brooks's problem is partly that he really doesn't embrace the 5th starter role. he thinks he's the show. he takes way too many shots for such a bad offensive player. it would be like if smart thought he should carry more of the offense or something.

also, as much as i like defenders, brooks can't defend guards. not quick enough. we still need someone on this roster (preferably two guys, tbh) who can do that.

We honestly don’t know what we have yet in Adou. Hopefully with some real time next season, we’ll find out.

 

I have no way of knowing his mindset or mental makeup of course but the skills and traits are there. Odds are really good we have an in house player that can fill a crucial need for us and he should be given every opportunity to do so.

 

Oh, I have been completely frustrated with him not being developed as well because the kid does have a lot of raw talent.

 

I hope the Front office got the message that we're not even close to beating these guys.

the worst that could happen would be to actually hang with them and narrowly lose, and run the roster back as a result.

 

This was our prize for beating Houston but still worth it.

Yeah. I take this over another first round exit. Just ran into a better team that seems destined to repeat.

 

Final score be damned, it’s impressive we can even hang with OKC for 3 quarters given the state of our roster.

 

i think SA can beat them. they can similarly neutralize SGA, and they have other guys to contain dribble penetration, then wemby to eat everything in the paint.

but yeah, they're obviously much better than the luka-less lakers.
