Came out the gates and you saw it, they have nothing to throw at him.

Best player on the court. Can't do it alone at this age though.

Yall still eager to evict him this summer?

He definitely looked like the best guy on the floor to me.

I never was eager to. LeBron is still a top 10-15 player in this league and he’s been of the five best playoff performers this postseason. Odds of finding a better replacement next year are next to nothing.

once he decided to fit in on offense, i was glad to have him back. by his own admission, that took him a long time. the version that handles the ball out top can play elsewhere still.

I like that LeBron and Austin are very different pitches as our 2A/2B guys. You have a team like OKC/SA with strong, quick perimeter defenders and great P&R defending bigs? Lean into LeBron post-ups and organized offense with LeBron at the elbow. Lean into bully-ball. You have a bigger, slower team like the Rockets? Spam high P&R with Austin and put traditional centers in the blender. I like having them both and think we're going to need both for any shot of winning a title with Luka in the short term.

He needs to start taking the 3 with confidence. Finally was looking comfortable and he rolled his wrist.

If that wrist is ok, Lakers need to get his scoring into the 30 range and the lakers are getting good looks from the 3 pt line

I don't know what this means for legacy talk but at 41 he's matching a likely two time MVP in production and impact and frankly looks better.

At 41, while getting the whistle deserving of an undrafted rookie.

I don't think Caruso likes the King.

He's still the best player on the court. I don't know how much more he has left. Honestly it wouldn't surprise me if he retires next season. I'd love him back if he chooses to give it a go for one more season, at a reasonable price of course. He should retire a Laker, he has earned that.

There's 8 teams left and he'd be the best player on most of those courts. It's hard to grasp just how insane that is. I think he's enjoying this stage too much and has too much in the tank still. I don't think he likes the regular season, unless he's playing with jr, but he lives for this s***.

I want to give him one more year and a fair chance to get that last ship next year. A full season in the Draybron role will give him plenty of juice in the playoffs next year. If Rob can swing 3 moves this summer (starting level 2-way wing, backup wing and either a defensive smaller guard or another big...i think we've got a legit shot, health permitting)

this is the main hope. he didn't buy into this role until the end of the season. and now in the playoffs he's kind of getting the taste of top billing again and obviously relishing it. but that can't be the way next year. draybron then dust off the domination for the second season.

Watching 41 year old LeBron still dominate at this level and outperform Shai, it makes you realize how lucky the league is that 18 year old LeBron isn't getting drafted in today's game.

Jokic is great. So is Giannis and Luka. Historically great. Wemby is an alien. Still TBD on his career path but I expect many MVP's and DPOY's by the time his career is done assuming he can stay healthy.

But none of them would equal prime LeBron who was putting up 30/8/8 at a time when it wasn't common to do so. It's so much easier to put up stats in today's game which is why everyone is getting triple doubles.

Like, what would 2008 LeBron do? Far superior athleticism to Giannis, never injured, every time he attacked the basket, it was an automatic and+1, elite passer, elite defense, and with how fast-paced the game is today, imagine if you put this dude on an open court right now with shooters all over. No one would stop this guy.

2007-2018 LeBron, he would do whatever he wanted out there and massacre the league. I remember when he was 28 and getting older, I would say to myself that his game won't age well so we're looking at probably only 3-4 years of peak LeBron and then a massive drop-off. It's 13 years later and this dude is still performing at a high level.

The NBA is seriously lucky, man. 18 year old LeBron would be the most prized asset in today's game by a wide margin.

I just don't get this idea that Lebron is the same as 2020 lebron in terms of how he plays when Luka not playing. He set the screens on how many of ARs points? He barely brings the ball up and goes LeIso offense from top of the key. It's basically limited if he has a big switch onto him otherwise the one and one of very post heavy. Feels like the offense starts with Smart or AR for the most part

If anything he needs to shoot more in this series him and Reaves need to be threatening 30s together to keep the Lakers in shooting range

he was most definitely still trying to do 2020 stuff early in the season. you're right that now it's out of necessity. but those possessions should go to near zero when luka's available. the opposing defenses are basically giving us those for a reason.
