I'm a SD guy too, my dad worked at Camp Pendleton from 1997 until retirement. I played ball at Carlsbad high, played against Chase Budinger over at LaCosta. We won the CIF championship and then proceeded to get destroyed in the state tournament from some team from Long Beach lol. My mom's still in Oceanside. She was big Tony Gwynn fan but we never made it to Seau's.

4 game sample size. 6 total attempts. Statistically insignificant.

That guy had the best draft previews. Do you remember the regular guest he had, Sonny Vaccaro? That guy was the best.

Statistically insignificant but in reality this was why he was benched. His offensive production was atrocious.A OBPM of -6.6. He was still a + on defense

I'm the guy on the far right. You would never know not being there but Junior Seau was in this picture literally one second. He jumped in and jumped out all in one motion and you would have thought we stood there for a 5-10- seconds to take a pic. When my friends think back at this that's the only memory we talk about. Great restaurant and he was a good guy.

I do not remember Ricky Cleats but Marvin Freeman sounds familiar. Seau's Restaurant April 2001.JPEG

Looks like Banchero got his wish. Apparently, he was demanding a trade if he wasn't fired.

You guys still want Jalen "can't shoot" Suggs? Lol he was so good in game 6 (1-10 shooting) and game 7 (2-9 shooting). He also stupidly injured himself:

This is my whole point with the cavalier attitude around here from many about Rui, with all the grass is greener "(we don't know) & D" guys on other teams. Keep the "talented" ones we have and find a way with the Maxi, Dalton and maybe Vando slots and picks to add two or 3 defensive players of need. Then let the depth chart and rotations handle the rest.

i think people are generally putting too much stock in playoff performance from this season in basically all conversations. the world exists both before and after the two-week time frame upon which lots of opinions are being based.

we dumped robert horry after a horrible playoff performance, and he went on to become the same guy he was before that year for a rival, winning more rings in the process.

i think minny gave troy hudson a contract after he torched us in a playoff series, only for him to continue being troy hudson thereafter. we signed gabe vincent because he was hot in a series against boston.

guys go cold, gameplans and matchups happen, little injuries we don't know about happen, etc. i like to use the preponderance of evidence.

I'd still gladly take Suggs. I think Suggs is the closest thing in the league to a younger Marcus Smart, including the erratic shooting and offensive decision-making. That Magic team is a complete mess offensively and Suggs was being asked to be the secondary, and sometimes primary, ballhandler against a really good Detroit defense. If he was playing next to Luka, Austin and LeBron, we'd really only need him to shoot wide open spot-up threes, attack some closeouts and provide some tertiary ballhandling. Basically, what we currently ask from Smart. I think he'd do really well in that role here.
