Well s*** that might be playing right into our available cap money's thrifty little hands. From the bleep hole of Sacramento to this salary destroying stint to the marque Los Angeles Lakers to get that value back up. Mid teens or less .... back up Marcus?

Lee and Jim Rome were fixtures in San Diego. I did an internship at XTRA Sports 690 where Lee worked at that time. Went on a few locations with Bill Werndl and Steve Hartman. Good guys. Radio industry wasn't appealing though. No one looked happy.

One of those teams is the worst run franchise in the league that makes the wrong decision at every turn and the other is in a Game 7 against a team missing 2 starters that they should beat easily.

Not really sure he’s even been bad in this series. Just limited opportunities as they tighten the rotation and leaned more on Schroder as the only shot creator off the bench. I still think Ellis fills a need, just likely cheaper than he would have been before.

yeah, sacramento is sacramento, and nobody should think they make any good choices about anything. and cleveland added ellis late and is basically in an either/or situation with him and schroder. they have 132 million tied up in 4 back court players next year. their most promising young player (tyson) is also a sg. there's just not room for ellis there.

as i said before, if we can capitalize on teams being seduced by schroder, we should do it. i also hope everyone thinks ellis suck as bad as the folks on this forum do, as that means we can sign him for cheap. people who defend at his level and can hit the three at 40% make 20 million per, though, almost without exception. so if we can get him for less, that's great.

Interesting that you say people here think he sucks when in reality they are just not overrating him.The guy has value like Thybulle has value and like Kris Dunn has value they are all the same player.Difference is the vast majority wouldn’t suggest giving up first round draft picks and 20 million for the latter .

Philly Billy? Steve Hartman great guy. Philly Billy replaced a great guy. The legendary Chet Forte. R.I.P. did you ever meet Chet. and Bill Werndell. They used to have the Werndell Wire. Lee Hacksaw Hamilton used to have to get the actual Sports Wire off the wire. This was before the internet and social media. Did he ever have you do that???

wow those were the days when Rome used to have the actual night show. At the mighty 690. That’s actual was John Lynch’s Fathers radio station. The 49ers GM. Did you ever meet John or his pops???

Joe Totino. I still have his phone number. On the back of a paper. He used to work with Jim a producer at Xtra Sports 690.

Oh the days of talk radio. Sports talk radio.
Did you ever do any remotes at Trophy’s in Mission Valley? or Seaus?? Juniors restaurant in Mission Valley? Scott Ferrell is a good friend of mine. And I know Jim and his wife Janet. Dodger Jan

she used to work at Xtra sports 690 in the sales department.

I always remember about Xtra sports 690 those commercial for El Cajon Ford. Nobody beats El Cajon Ford. Tony Gwyn for El Cajon Ford. Those were the best.

it was an era. But a very good era.

    Man do I miss SD.
I don’t miss the cost of living, or congestion everywhere, but it wasn’t like that in the mid 90s.

well, not exactly. thybulle has barely played basketball for the last couple years, and dunn is 33 years old. as i posted a long time ago, if he was a FA now and several years younger, he'd be fetching over mle, too. if thybulle were healthy regularly, he'd be looking at over mle contracts this summer.

Ellis just seems to play small when I watch him. I think this part of the reason teams go away from him. I'm no Ellis expert but he's not a Smart type who can switch and fight for position.

Worries me rather think if we can focus on one big add like Ayo. A non switchable guard who doesn't have much playmaking isn't as valuable as one would hope is your going for a 3 and D type
