Cooper Flagg's rookie season ended early because of a sprained left ankle Sunday.

I’m telling yall watch Knect shot maker. This is his series to go insane.

Shoot shoot and shoot. I keep telling yall. I watch a lot of basketball. Series like these come down to one thing shooting.

Knect just go in and let it fly. This is an athletic rockets team. Space them out.

that’s what beat them when we had Luka we spaced the court.

Kleber Kennard Knect Smart James Hachimura and Ayton inside. Add Smith to that.

We have one hall of famer on this team. And I’ve seen this before. Lebron will get attention and he’ll make the best play and read. If he does that which he will those guys have to make their shots.

Dont act like yall haven’t seen this before. Why we beat Portland Sacramento????? Cause teams players made shots. Horry Fox Rice Shaw Fisher We need those guys to hit those shots when Lebron finds them.

Ayton has to destroy Sengun in the post which he can at the rim. And Hayes can be active on the boards.

Were a tough matchup for them. Because unlike Luka you don’t know where the snake is coming from. Kennard is a beautiful ball handler and passer and shooter.

we’ll go defense on them Smart and Vanderbilt. The same Reddick blitz is in there head.

in the words of a Rocket Mario Ellie. They getting a little tight.

Lebron is going to give the effort of his career and then Luka and Reaves comes back.

Remember two games at Staples Crypto and every game the Rockets don’t win and the Lakers win that’s another game Luka can come back. And it gets in there head.

Don’t let us get one game. Cause we are blitzing Durant. It’s Lakers playoffs basketball against the Rockets. Let’s GO!!!!!!!!!!

All of the pressure is on the Rockets. We have all the house money. And Reddick playing that Phil Jackson mind game. Everybody wants to play us. Well we can play free and every game we win. We get to play another one.

a whole week off for Luka to get that hamstring right. I’m targeting Luka game 3 in Houston.

and you’ll even see Bronny contribute a little bit in this series. Remember one great series from Knect and he stays in the league and might be able to make some money.

honestly, if we get a game off them, they should be pretty embarrassed.

Yeah I'm not very optimistic, but taking them to 6 or 7 games, is a moral victory. Winning this series would be extremly high up the rung, in Lakers playoffs lore.

It's possible, if we get 2007 LeBron, who dragged big Z, Drew Gooden, Sasha Pavlovic and Eric Snow to the finals. Looking forward! :LLLLLebronlaughing:

Yep, Giannis and the Bucks are the most obvious "about to divorce" couple ever.

And it's so weird that Giannis is so insistent on trying to play coy with Bucks fans by pretending there's still a chance he stays, because he seemingly cares so much about not being seen as the villain in this story... all while making himself look worse and worse the longer he drags it all out and pretends nothing is wrong BTS.

Yeah, I've cooled off a bit on the "Trade for Missi" idea personally and prefer the idea of us drafting a Big with our pick at either #24 or 25. Motijeus Krivas is still my go to priority target, alongside Morez Johnson Jr.

That said, if we wind up drafting a wing like Cameron Carr or Dailyn Swain instead, I could still see us buying into the Second Round and maybe drafting someone like Tarris Reed or Zvonimir Ivisic.

Is anyone of those guys much better than Missi?
Because Missi is 1-2 years ahead and that's valuable

Pretty sure NOLA would accept our first straight up. It allows them to pick for another position and they need it.
They'll be in the selling market too so maybe they get another pick with another player and couple it with ours to go to a position where they really like a guy
There may be some market there, hope we are sniffing around.

Sending Knecht is an afterthought. If they want him, we send him too, no strings attached, totally up to them.

They have Hawkins though, a similar player and honestly better. But maybe they don't trust him. Nonetheless, it's the type of team his agent should try to position him

It does make sense for both teams. We might want to trade our pick for a more NBA-ready player, and New Orleans doesn't have a pick, and would probably like one. And, they happen to have a player that fills our largest need perfectly. And said player essentially plays a position of surplus to them. I'm not sure what other teams don't have a pick, or if they would even want a pick. OKC has a bunch of picks, but are only going to want future picks in return, which I don't think New Orleans would be interested in doing that again after getting burned. It makes a ton of sense.

There might be some nice prospects available at #24 at the center position, but it's a matter of the Lakers wanting to take the "chance" vs. an NBA proven talent. Because rookies are gambles. Bidenga is a super athletic, he erases shots and is an insane lob-threat, he's a Bam/Capela type. But he might be a bit undersized, you just never know how a rookie will translate to the NBA. There are players like that. Some are very raw though, and need to adjust to NBA timing. Krievas is huge, but he is not a lob threat, and he is not the rim-protector that Missi is.

But we might get lucky and get a good rookie that could help us win now, like Andrew Bynum back in the Kobe era. They just have to do their due-diligence and make the right decision. I don't see why the idea of Missi should just be dismissed. I'm generally in favor of Missi (low-cost 3rd year player) over an unproven-rookie, because we are talking about our starting center for next season. Ayton is not it. Hayes is slotted fine as the backup. External candidates like, Allen, Claxton, Kessler, Robinson, etc. are more costly. But we could also find someone good, like a Lively type too in the draft. But we need to really analyze our options and not be so rigid.

i'm fine with missi and would probably trade our first for him. i just wouldn't add things beyond that. i don't think NO is dealing from a position of strength, and while there's no guarantee you'll draft someone better than missi, mocks have several guys with legit potential to be better than him both sooner and later available to us (e.g., the aforementioned centers and also veesaar, swain, carr, etc.).

as we learned with knecht, the mystery box is always more valuable than the car that's already been driven off the lot.
